Plans to build a new Hilton Garden Inn on the west side of Doncaster Racecourse have been approved.

Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse will include 154 bedrooms over six floors with flexible events space located on the first floor.

The events space will have extensive views over the racecourse and will be available for corporate and leisure race-day hospitality as well as for meetings and events on non-race days.

Construction of Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse will commence at the start of 2017 and the hotel should open summer 2018.

January 2017 will see the opening of the new etc.venues County Hall in central London.

Etc.venues County Hall will feature 43,000sq-ft of new multi-purpose interconnecting event space for groups of up to 900 people.

The space at etc.venues County Hall is located on the fourth floor of the former Greater London Council headquarters building on the south bank of the River Thames overlooking the Houses of Parliament on the north bank. 

Etc.venues County Hall will include 20 meeting and events rooms. The largest conference room will have a capacity of 400 delegates and when combined with the Thames Suite will accommodate 900 people for seated dinners, conferences, networking and exhibitions.

Etc.venues County Hall will be the group’s 15th property. It will join 13 existing venues throughout central London plus one in Birmingham.

A planning application has been submitted to Manchester City Council for a new 137-bedroom Dakota Deluxe hotel on a site in Ducie Street within the Piccadilly Basin mixed-use regeneration development in central Manchester.

Subject to approval, work could begin on site next year with a view to the design-led hotel opening in 2019.

Manchester Dakota Deluxe is part of a plan to bring the luxury Dakota brand hotels to all key UK regional cities over the next five years.

Currently there are Dakota Deluxe hotels at the Eurocentral complex on the outskirts of Glasgow and South Queensferry in Edinburgh. Leeds Dakota Deluxe is nearing completion and will open in April 2017.

The lifestyle brand ‘Dakota’ was founded by Ken McCulloch, who was also behind the Malmaison hotel brand.

At the moment Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford is accepting accommodation group bookings for ten bedrooms or more that are connected to conference and event taking place at Emirates Old Trafford.

Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford will have 150 bedrooms, 85 of which will be pitch-facing with balconies, an on-site restaurant and coffee shop, a fitness centre and on-site parking. Hospitality boxes will also be available on match days.
