Hope Street Hotel and the London Carriage Works restaurant in Liverpool city centre is planning an expansion on the back of "strong year-on-year growth" – reports ‘Insider’ Magazine.

The expansion will include additional bedrooms, serviced apartments, a swimming pool and a spa.

The building currently inhabited by Hope Street Hotel was constructed in the 1860’s in the style of a Venetian palazzo. It opened as Hope Street Hotel and the London Carriage Works restaurant in 2003.

Hope Street Hotel has 89 chic, urbane bedrooms. London Carriage Works is a two AA rosette restaurant.

Leonardo Hotel Group has opened its second property in the UK – Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh City Centre.

Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh City Centre has 282 modern bedrooms and a restaurant serving breakfast through to dinner. Bedrooms are equipped with a bath or shower, a 32 inch HD flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities and free wi-fi.

Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh City Centre has four meeting rooms in its conference centre totalling 164 sq-mt.

Formerly a Premier Inn, Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh City Centre is located in the heart of the city, next to Haymarket station. It is a short walk to Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Edinburgh Castle and the Murrayfield Stadium.

Contracts have been awarded to build the new 153-bedroom Village Hotel Portsmouth.

The £21million hotel development is sited next to the Porsche Centre at Lakeside North Harbour Portsmouth and is scheduled for completion in autumn 2017.

Village Hotel Portsmouth will include 153 bedrooms, conference facilities and a leisure club with a 20m indoor swimming pool, gym and fitness studios.

Village Urban Hotels currently have 28 properties throughout the country. The Village Portsmouth will be the first of the new Village Hotel concept.

Hampton Manor country house hotel in Hampton in Arden, Solihull has just been awarded a Michelin star in the Michelin Guide for 2017.

The restaurant, Peel's at Hampton Manor, which also boasts a four AA rosette rating, is led by head chef Rob Palmer.

Peel’s at Hampton Manor joins seven other Michelin starred venues in the region, including five in Birmingham. Carters of Moseley, which secured a star last year and retained it, as did Simpsons, Purnells, Turners and Adam's.

Hampton Manor has fifteen bedrooms and was originally built as a home for the Peel family.

Meeting facilities at Hampton Manor include Sir Fredrick Peel’s former library now an oak panelled boardroom plus the main Courtyard. The Courtyard which can accommodate from 15 to 180 guests also has a private terrace and garden area.

Hampton Manor is located between the centre of Solihull and the NEC site, Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham International Station. It is a five minute drive to each and two minutes to the M42 at junction 6.

The Space in Norwich has opened three new meeting rooms. Each is available to book by the hour or by the day. The rooms include:

The Boardroom – seating between six to eight delegates.
The Lounge Room – designed for ‘creative thinking’ and seating between six to eight delegates.
Office Space – designed for home-workers who need a dedicated office environment from time to time.

Refreshments are available in each space. Wi-fi is complimentary. Free parking is also available directly outside the building.

The Space is a social enterprise facility that provides meeting and events space for businesses, community groups and organisations for training, conferences, seminars workshops, presentations, launches and exhibitions.
