A December 2016 opening is planned for the new Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel, the third Mercure-branded hotel to open in London.

With 72 bedrooms, Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel has been developed across four Grade II-listed town houses on Talbot Square, a garden square in west London.

Bedrooms will feature a contemporary style.

Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel will have a breakfast room with snacks and light meals during the day served at the hotel bar. There will be an on-site fitness room.

Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel is a two minute walk from Paddington Station and a five minute walk from London's Hyde Park.

The Ramada Glasgow Airport Hotel is set to be rebranded as the Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport following completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment programme.

Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport now includes ‘The Bistro’ restaurant and bar featuring three media-pods with curved seating and their own televisions.

The lobby area has been redesigned and now includes a touchscreen ‘GoBoard’ to check airport arrivals and departures.

Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport has a residents-only fitness rooms plus three meeting rooms, the largest accommodating up to 30 delegates.

Future development plans include increasing the number of bedrooms from 114 to 170 by mid-2017.

Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport now joins two other Courtyard airport hotels at Aberdeen and London Gatwick.

Malmaison Hotels have launched their Work + Play concept at Malmaison Manchester following its successful introduction at Malmaison Birmingham earlier in the year.

The Work + Play space in Manchester incorporates five meeting rooms with capacity ranging from eight up to 130 delegates. The rooms will accommodate conferences, meetings and training days. Private dining is also available in each of the rooms.

The Work + Play space is air-conditioned and equipped with flat screen TVs, projection walls, wi-fi access with video conferencing built in.

The Work + Play space at Malmaison Manchester is available to hire by the day or by the hour.

Malmaison Manchester has 167 bedrooms and 13 suites plus Chez Mal Brasserie. It is located in a converted 19th century warehouse very near Piccadilly station in the centre of Manchester.

Hotel operators, Cairn Group, plan to open a new conference venue in the centre of Birmingham in autumn 2016. 

The Birmingham Conference & Events Centre (BCEC) will be located in Hill Street and will encompass 2000 sq-mt of flexible space over two floors designed for conferences and events - both corporate and private.

The BCEC will include 20 conference rooms accommodating up to 1,450 delegates in total. The largest suite, the Mercian Suite, will accommodate up to 1,000 delegates or 750 for a dinner.

The meeting space will be fully equipped with the latest AV technology.

There will be six banqueting suites seating between 30 and 750 guests.

The BCEC will also incorporate a goods lift to facilitate product launches.

The BCEC will virtually overlook Birmingham New Street Station in the city centre. It will be connected via a covered glass walkway to the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre also operated by the Cairn Group.

Future plans for the BCEC include a rooftop bar and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.
