University of Salford open their flagship New Adelphi Arts Centre on 19th September at the University’s Peel Park campus.

The £55million building will be the new home for many of the University’s School of Arts and Media courses.

The building encompasses 15,000 square metres of purpose-designed floor space over eight storeys and is equipped with the latest processes and technologies.

Facilities include:
A 350-seat theatre available for public and community performances as well as student shows. The theatre is equipped with the latest lighting, PA equipment and high-powered projectors. The space can be adapted to the different configurations.
Professional quality TV studios featuring HD cameras.
Five professional recording studios.
A band room large enough to record an orchestra.
600 square metres of specialist art and design workshops.
An amphitheatre to host outdoor events.

The building will provide an artistic hub not just for students but for the general population of Greater Manchester.

New Adelphi Arts Centre also houses a café, a bar, a rooftop terrace and wildlife attracting green roof.

The New Adelphi Arts Centre is located on main University of Salford campus just off the main A6, two miles north of Manchester city centre and a short walk from Salford Crescent station.

The owner of Blakes Hotel has received planning consent to create a new 30-bedroom luxury hotel near the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square in central London.

The new hotel will be Blakes’ second property in London joining the group’s existing hotel in South Kensington.

The new hotel will include an informal, all-day Parisian-style brasserie restaurant serving a contemporary menu based around locally sourced organic and biodynamic ingredients.

Other facilities will include a private members’ club and bar.

The new hotel will stretch across three historic former office buildings at 22 Grosvenor Square, 43 North Audley Street and 1 Lees Place.

The development is part of a wider effort by Grosvenor Estates to rejuvenate its holdings across Mayfair as a place to live, work and visit.


A December 2016 launch is planned for the new Moxy London Excel Hotel, opening in London’s Dockland with 164 bedrooms and suites.

Moxy is the Marriott group’s less formal brand; its bid for the ‘lifetsyle with attitude’ market.

Moxy London Excel Hotel will feature a bright, open lobby with a ‘Plug and Meet’ gathering area with ergonomic seating, a large writing wall and a 56 inch television for presentation projection.

The lobby area will also include a video wall and a 24/7 food and beverage offering. Continental breakfast will be served and there will be a bar in the evening.

The stylishly designed bedrooms will all be equipped with a 42 inch flat screen HD television, a high quality sound system and complimentary wi-fi.

Leisure facilities will include a fitness room with cardiovascular equipment and free weights.

Moxy London Excel is located in Dockside Road, a short walk from Royal Albert station on the DLR and just over one kilometre from London City Airport. Chargeable car parking will be available.
 


Vine Hotels have acquired Kenwood Hall Hotel in Sheffield from its previous operators, Principal Hayley.

Prior to Principal Hayley the hotel flew the Marriott flag.

A multi-million pound refurbishment has already begun at the hotel. Refurbishment work will include revamping the bedrooms and public areas as well as re-opening the currently closed spa treatment rooms at Kenwood Hall Hotel.

Kenwood Hall Hotel has 114 bedrooms and extensive meeting and banqueting facilities including the main Kenwood Suite accommodating up to 250 delegates theatre style. 

Kenwood Hall Hotel is set in 12 acres of parkland, one mile from the centre of Sheffield.

Kenwood Hall Hotel joins three other Sheffield hotels in the Vine Hotels group including Doubletree by Hilton Sheffield Park, BW Cutlers Hotel in the centre of Sheffield and BW Plus Mosborough Hall - a twelfth century manor house hotel 15 minutes from central Sheffield.

Formerly known as Belgraves Hotel, the luxury Belgravia hotel in London has just been rebranded: The Hari

The Hari is an 85-bedroom hotel in Chesham Place. It will be the first of a number of planned Hari openings around the globe. A second is planned in Hong Kong, the group’s base.

The bedrooms have not been refurbished ahead of the change of name although a new restaurant offering contemporary Italian cuisine will replace the hotel’s current restaurant. This is scheduled for a launch in November.
