The new Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square has been under development for several years. Opening is now expected at the end of 2016.

The 1922, Grade II-listed, former headquarters of the Port of London Authority will open as the five-star Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square with 100 bedrooms and 41 private residences. It is located near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

The 100 luxuriously equipped bedrooms include ten signature suites.

There will be three in-house restaurants: a Michelin-starred French restaurant; an Asian restaurant specialising in Chinese and Japanese cuisine and the Rotunda - the building’s original rotunda will be the setting for a bar and all-day dining.

Leisure facilities at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will include a spa with six treatment rooms, a hammam suite, a salon for hand and foot treatments, an indoor pool and a 24/7 fitness centre with state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment plus a yoga studio.

Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will have 730 square metres of events space.

Centre stage will be the UN Ballroom, where the inaugural reception of the United Nations General Assembly took place in 1946. The room has been restored and enhanced. It features 9-metre height ceilings, walnut panelling, crystal chandeliers and views across to the Tower of London. It will accommodate up to 150 guests for a dinner. 

Other meeting rooms include the Merchants Hall, a modern-style circular ballroom above the rotunda seating up to 70 guests for dinner. Three additional rooms for board meetings, private dinners or conference breakouts complete the line-up.

Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will join the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, as well as the brand’s country estate at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire.

Hilton Worldwide plan to open a new 200-bedroom hotel at the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), the fourth Hilton property in the city.

Hilton Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre will connect directly into the new centre. It is expected to open in 2019 and will include ten meeting rooms as well as a restaurant, bar, an executive lounge, fitness centre and spa.

Construction work started this summer on the new £333million Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The centre will include a 12,500 capacity performance venue, extensive covered exhibition halls and 2,500 parking spaces. 

It is located on the 130-acre former Rowett Research Institute site adjacent to Aberdeen International Airport.

The new Exhibition and Conference Centre in Aberdeen is expected to be completed in 2019.

The development also includes plans for another 150-bedroom hotel operated under the Aloft brand.

Wotton House in Surrey, part of the Principal Hayley Group, has unveiled phase one of its £6million refurbishment.

Wotton House has completed almost half of its bedroom renovations, as well as the first bedroom suite, the Jasmine Suite, located in the Mansion House.

Future plans at Wotton House will see the addition of 16 new suites in the Mansion House area of the hotel. This will bring the total number of bedrooms to 127.

There will also be a revamping of the public areas in Wotton House, the restaurant and bar, meeting spaces as well as the Old Library.

Wotton House has extensive conference and banqueting facilities with 40 rooms in total. The largest space, the Wotton Suite, will accommodate up to 200 delegates theatre style.

Wotton House is set in 13 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds located between Guildford and Dorking. It is ten minutes from the M25 at junction 9, 30 minutes from London Gatwick Airport and 40 minutes by train from central London.

More details have been released about the proposed new Malmaison hotel planned in the city of York.

The site is Yorkshire House, an office block in Rougier Street, dating from 1962  and the former  offices of Aviva.

Developers are planning a 124-bedroom hotel with a roof level extension to house 36 serviced suites and residential apartments on the upper levels.

A restaurant and bar are proposed for the upper ground floor with a "kiosk" alongside the main entrance for a small coffee shop.

The exterior of the building will remain largely unchanged although new large picture windows would be introduced at ground floor level to serve the reception/coffee shop area.

If plans are approved Malmaison York would join a 15-strong portfolio of Malmaison Hotels located in key cities across the UK.

Independent hotel operator, Bespoke Hotels, has announced plans to operate a number of new hotels in London.

The first to open will be the 86-bedroom boutique MGallery hotel in London’s Leicester Square. It is expected to open later in 2016.

This will be followed by further hotels in Leicester Square, Piccadilly and Greenwich – all scheduled to open towards the end of 2016 and throughout 2017.
