The new DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central is now open having completed an £11 million refurbishment.

DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central has 300 bedrooms, including three suites. DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central also boasts Scotland’s largest hotel meeting space - The Grand Ballroom.

The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 delegates. A further 12 meeting spaces are also available on site, all with natural daylight and state-of-the-art equipment.

DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central also includes ‘Brisket’ Restaurant and ‘Cask’ bar plus ‘Juvenate Health and Leisure Club’ with a 14m pool, sauna, steam room and 24-hour fitness centre.

Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol has just completed its £45million rebuild. It is now a 27,000-capacity multi-use stadium; the largest conference and events venue in the south-west.

The South Stand and the remodelled Doman Stand were completed in August 2015.  The new two-tier 11,000-seater West Stand has just been completed.

Ashton Gate now has up to 5,000 sq-mt of flexible exhibition space and 35 meeting rooms onsite - DDA accessible, equipped with the latest technology including the largest screen in Europe and with complimentary wi-fi throughout.

Conferences and events share the space at Ashton Gate Stadium with Bristol City Football Club, Bristol City Women, Bristol Rugby and Bristol Rugby Ladies.

Jurys Inn Oxford is set to re-launch to the UK meetings and events market this autumn following a £10.8 million refurbishment.

The renovation of 168 bedrooms is now complete with an additional 72 bedrooms due to launch later in the year, bringing the total number of bedrooms to 240.

All rooms will have the Jurys Inn DREAM bed plus air-conditioning and 24 executive rooms will have Sky TV and a mini bar.

The inspiration behind the design reflects Oxford’s heritage in motoring manufacturing, with detail from the Morris Minor and Mini Cooper on the bedroom walls.

The hotel has a new Conference Centre which includes 15 meeting and event spaces encompassing a dedicated boardroom, new breakout areas for refreshment breaks.

The largest meeting room will accommodate 300 people. The hotel has both complimentary wi-fi and 250 car parking spaces. 

The lobby will be revealed at the end of September 2016. This area has been transformed with new soft furnishings, new floor coverings, areas for guests to hold small meetings. It will also include a new Costa Coffee. 

Jurys Inn Oxford will launch a new bar, a renovated Juvenate Health & Leisure Club and a new Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in early November 2016. The new restaurant will have 180 covers and will be available to hire for corporate events.

A new 122-bedroom Hotel Indigo is scheduled to open in Cardiff in April 2017. It will be located in the former Dominion House office building in the centre of Cardiff.

In common with other Indigo Hotels, the guest rooms in Cardiff will feature the characteristics unique to the local area. Hence Hotel Indigo Cardiff will highlight three recurring themes: Made in Wales, industry and music.

Hotel Indigo Cardiff will also include a Marco Pierre White rooftop restaurant and bar, similar to the one at Hotel Indigo in Birmingham.

Hotel Indigo Cardiff is located in close proximity to Cardiff’s central business district as well as Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Stadium and the city’s principal transport links.

Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is in detailed talks regarding the possible management of a hotel and conference centre proposed at the new £190million golf resort in Hoylake on the Wirral in Cheshire.

The Hoylake Golf Resort scheme will include two new championship golf courses as well as a luxury hotel, conference centre and links academy.

The international convention centre will be capable of accommodating up to 5,000 delegates and will incorporate a total floor space in excess of 215,000 sq ft.

Wirral Council will consider a report setting out the next stages of the plan next week.
