Plans for the new Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre have been unveiled. It is scheduled to open in 2018.

Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre’s building design will reflect the ‘airbridge’ theme associated with Farnborough’s history of aircraft testing and development; a theme also reflected in the neighbouring Aviator Hotel.

Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre will include 12,500 sq-mt of flexible events space with conference seating for 2,500 delegates and fourteen multiple purpose-built function rooms. It will be designed to host exhibitions, conferences, meetings, dinners and launch events.

Work on the new venue is expected to begin immediately following the end of the 2016 Farnborough International Public Airshow which takes place from 16-17 July.

Planning approval has been granted for the redevelopment of Kirk Mill in the village of Chipping in Lancashire.
