Hollywood star, Robert De Niro, is a member of a small team behind plans to build a new 83-bedroom boutique hotel in London’s Covent Garden. The group has submitted plans to merge six historic buildings to form the Wellington Hotel.

The historic façades would be retained and incorporated into the new hotel. Internally the Wellington Hotel would include spa facilities, two restaurants and a members’ club built around a central courtyard conservatory.

The Wellington Hotel will be located near the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

If the plans are approved by Westminster City Council work would begin on the development in 2017, with construction due for completion in 2019.

Robert De Niro is no hotel-virgin. His team is behind the internationally renowned Greenwich Hotel in New York’s Tribeca district.

Dakota Deluxe Glasgow has just opened.

Dakota Deluxe Glasgow is located in West Regent Street in the centre of Glasgow. It is a short walk from Glasgow’s Charing Cross station.
