Stanbrook Abbey, a former monastery   in Worcestershire, has recently undergone a £5 million renovation and is now open for corporate events.

Stanbrook Abbey features thirteen full equipped event spaces with the largest room seating up to 190 delegates theatre style. Feature rooms include Callow Great Hall with its vaulted ceilings and restored stained glass windows. Stanbrook Abbey has 57 bedrooms and a full service restaurant. Wi-fi is free throughout. Team building events can be arranged either in the abbey or in the grounds.

Stanbrook Abbey is five miles from the M5 at junction 7 and around 40 minutes from Birmingham International Airport. The closest station to Stanbrook Abbey is Worcester Foregate Street, a 15 minute taxi drive away with direct trains to London and Birmingham.

Lane End Conference Centre will be opening its new Cedar Club in May 2015. Cedar Club is a brand new sports and leisure centre located on the Conference Centre’s 26-acre Buckinghamshire site.

The Cedar Club is a double-storey building with an open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows. It will feature state-of-the-art sports and fitness facilities for visitors to Lane End.

The Cedar Club will include a fully-equipped gymnasium, a sauna and steam room, a large sports hall for indoor games and two virtual golf booths. The Club will have a café and fully licensed bar together with an outside garden terrace.

The Cedar Club will complement Lane End's current range of outdoor sports facilities, which include a 9-hole golf course, two tennis courts and a five-a-side football pitch.

Lane End Conference Centre is one of the largest residential conference venues in the UK with over 100 en-suite bedrooms, five self-contained conference buildings with eight modern conference suites and 24 meeting rooms plus a full catering service and grade A+ broadband. It is located close to High Wycombe, the M40 and the A40 and is around 30 miles from London. Details

Construction has started on a new £5million luxury spa at Boringdon Hall Hotel on the outskirts of Plymouth. The 1,700sq-mt spa is expected to open early in 2016 and will include 12 treatment rooms, a deep relaxation area, heat treatment facilities, a gym, a 14m swimming pool and a restaurant.

The history of Boringdon Hall stretches back to the time of the Doomsday Book. It has received a few makeovers since those days and is now a luxury manor house hotel with 40 bedrooms and suites, a variety of events spaces and two restaurants all set in manicured grounds and gardens - with complimentary wi-fi throughout.

Four main meeting rooms include the Elizabethan Suite, the largest seating up to 140 delegates theatre style, down to the Rose Room for 14 delegates boardroom style. Team building activities can be arranged in the hotel and in its grounds.

Boringdon Hall Hotel is located in Plympton, approximately ten minutes from Plymouth and within a 15 minute drive of Dartmoor.

Go Ape will be launching their first city adventure park in Battersea Park London in summer 2015.

The Go Ape City Park Adventure is a variation on the Tree Tops Adventure which is well established in various forests throughout the UK. Delegates, dubbed ‘gorillas and baboons’ have to negotiate a tree-top adventure which includes high ropes and high wires, tricky crossings (using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire) and a zip wire.

Go Ape are promoting Go Ape Battersea Park for corporate team building events with a ‘bit of spirit’. Extra activities such as mountain biking and African drumming can be incorporated into the itinerary. The Go Ape catering service includes refreshments, breakfast, brunch, barbeques and picnic lunches.

Currently there are 28 Go Ape sites throughout the country with a two more possible sites planned in London parks in the future.

His Royal Highness The Duke of York joined contractors at the recent topping out ceremony for the InterContinental London - The 02, marking the completion of the highest point in the structure of the 18-storey hotel.

InterContinental London - The 02 is set to open in the last quarter of 2015 in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It will feature a dedicated conference centre with a 3,100sq-mt pillar-free ballroom accommodating up to 3,000 guests at full capacity; 20 additional meeting rooms; 453 guestrooms and suites; a luxury spa with indoor pool; destination restaurants and bars; Tea Salon and a rooftop Sky Bar.

InterContinental London - The O2 is part of a major development scheme on the Greenwich Peninsula. The hotel will be managed and operated by the Arora Group under a franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group.
