Tune Hotels have opened their fifth London property in Canary Wharf with 130 bedrooms. The bedrooms are split across two buildings. The main building incorporates 90 bedrooms and reception with a further 40 bedrooms located across an external walkway in historic Cannon House.

Tune Hotels feature ‘space-efficient’, minimally-priced bedrooms with a good quality bed and a powerful hot shower with a ‘pay as you use’ system in place for optional extras i.e. for a towel, a television or wi-fi. The Tune concept is based on the proposition that business and leisure guests spend little time in their rooms but above all want a good night sleep.

Tune Hotel Canary Wharf is located 300 metres from West India Quay DLR station, 500 metres from Canary Wharf DLR Station and 600 metres from Canary Wharf Tube on the Jubilee Line.

Shoreditch will be the home to the sixth Tune Hotel to open in London, expected in 2016.

Hilton Hotels have announced the development of its first modular hotel at Bristol Airport. Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport will include 201-bedrooms, flexible meeting spaces, a 24-hour fitness room, parking for 120 cars and complimentary wi-fi. The hotel will also feature Hampton's ‘On the House’ signature breakfast.

It is a modular hotel  in that the hotel bedrooms and corridors will be manufactured in China before being transported to the UK for assembly on site. This is a format designed to increase the speed of construction as well as keeping construction costs to a minimum.

Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport is expected to open in spring 2016

Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport will be the first hotel to be developed at the airport, which is currently extending its terminal building. Bristol Airport saw record passenger volumes last year when 6.3 million people passed through the terminal. It was also named the world's most punctual airport in a league table measuring on-time performance based on data compiled from over 43 million flight records by aviation data provider, OAG.
