St James Theatre in London is new event space available to the corporate and private events venue booker. St James Theatre can be used for product launches, AGMs, company presentations, film screenings, award ceremonies and lectures. The main theatre will accommodate up to 312 delegates and is available for daytime hire.

There is also a 100-seat studio theatre for activities such as team building days, product launches, small presentations or creative workshops. It is available to hire during the daytime and on Monday and Tuesday evenings when programmed shows do not run. A duty manager and front of house staff are included with any booking. St James Bar and Brasserie is available as catering space for refreshments and lunch.

St James Theatre is the first newly-built theatre complex in central London in 30 years. It is located in Palace Street just around the corner from Buckingham Palace and a five minute walk from Victoria Station.

A decision is expected shortly approving plans to create a new £400million integrated all-weather, year-round leisure, health, sport and education destination on the edge of the 550 square mile Peak District National Park. The project – Peak Resort - will include 250 holiday lodges, hotel and apart-hotel accommodation. The project, which has been in the pipeline for more than 20 years, is planned on a reclaimed opencast site at the Birchall Estate near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

The 300 acre site, which already includes a golf course and areas of woodland and open countryside, will be at the leading edge of eco-technology. The centrepiece will be a futuristic Ecodome building providing indoor climate controlled water sports, a spa, covered lawn games and a sports medical centre.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of two hotels at Aberdeen International Airport: Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport and Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport.  

The 165-bedroom Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport hotel will be newly constructed and within a two-minute walk of the terminal building. The hotel, which will open in 2016, will feature a number meeting rooms plus an outdoor terrace, a gym, a restaurant and bar plus ample car parking.

The new-build Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport will be located next door to the Crowne Plaza and is expected to open towards the end of 2015. The hotel will have 193 standard bedrooms and a breakfast/dining area.

These additions bring the total number of IHG properties in Aberdeen to six including Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Exhibition Centre, Holiday Inn Aberdeen Exhibition Centre and Holiday Inn Aberdeen West.

A new luxury hotel and spa has been proposed as part of a £34 million renovation of Brierfield Mill in East Lancashire. The mill is a Grade II-listed building and was formerly home to Smith and Nephew. The proposed complex, covering 380,000 square feet, will include a new marina, business units and leisure facilities plus a 78-bedroom hotel and spa.

A planning application for the scheme is expected to be submitted shortly.

Brierfield is a small town situated in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire. It is just north east of Burnley and with good access to the M65 motorway.
