New Hotel opens in Glasgow
New Road Hotel will be housed in a former textile factory in Whitechapel, so expect the ‘industrial look’ with exposed brickwork and open-plan public areas.
The building is an old textile factory, formerly known as Service House. It was a garments factory up until the turn of the millennium.
Since its closure in 2000 the building has remained empty.
The bedrooms will also feature exposed brickwork as well as the building’s original large windows.
Each bedroom will be furnished with a 49” flatscreen television, a hypnos bed, a rainfall shower, a ‘handy’ mobile phone and air conditioning.
The hotel will have two feature bedrooms. The Loft - complete with its own private rooftop hot tub and The Eco Shed - offering ‘sustainability without compromising on comfort’.
Marco Pierre White will launch a Mr White’s English Chophouse restaurant in New Road Hotel. The Chophouse will also be open for breakfast.
New Road Hotel will have two dedicated meeting rooms both with natural daylight and equipped with latest meeting technology including free wi-fi.
New Road Hotel is located in New Road, a three-minute walk from Whitechapel tube station and close to The Royal London Hospital. The hotel has good access to London City Airport, Canary Wharf, Stratford Olympic Park and ExCeL.

If the £4million project is approved by Flintshire County Council construction work will last around ten months.
This would be followed by a revamp of the existing dining room, meeting room and reception.

The expansion has added 79 new bedrooms. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester now has 219 bedrooms.
The design of the new bedrooms has taken inspiration from the hotel’s history which was originally a manor house built in the 18th century.
The hotel entrance and reception plus the lounge and lobby areas at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester have all been revamped. They now feature a new contemporary design.
Meeting and events facilities at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester include eight flexible meeting rooms, all with complimentary wi-fi.
There is plenty of space in the hotel grounds for team building activities.
The spa at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester has 14 treatment rooms as well as an outdoor Watsu Hydra therapy pool.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester is located just outside the city of Chester close to the M53 at junction 12.

The new aparthotel will be located next to the proposed AC by Marriott hotel, which is already under construction.
The site, currently used for parking, is bounded by Mason Street, Cable Street, Cross Keys Street and Adlington Street in New Cross.
The aparthotel will be a nine-storey building with 224 apartments. There will be a reception, a café, an exercise room and a laundry area on the ground floor with the bedrooms on the upper floors.
The aparthotel will be operated by Staycity.
It will be Staycity’s fourth aparthotel in Manchester.
The group has one at Gateway House on the Piccadilly station approach road and a second in Laystall Street in Ancoats. A third is planned in St Peter’s Square.
