The Alexandra Palace theatre, which first opened at Alexandra Palace in 1875 is planning to reopen December 2018 after being closed for around 80 years. 

Alexandra Palace theatre is an abandoned, Victorian theatre hidden inside Alexandra Palace. It is currently being restored with the help of an £18.8m lottery grant.

During the First World War Alexandra Palace was used as an internment camp for “enemy aliens” and the theatre became the camp’s hospital. In the 1930’s the BBC used the theatre as a prop store.

Alexandra Palace Theatre is a Grade II-listed space.

When it reopens it will offer a unique and exciting new venue option for conferences, live events, product launches, banquets, lectures and award ceremonies.

The theatre will have the capability to host events for between 100-900 guests in a flexible space featuring a combination of new technology and historic original features.

Alexandra Palace is located in Alexandra Palace Way between Muswell Hill and Wood Green,in north London - one mile from the North Circular Road, five miles from the M1/J2 and eight miles from M25/J25.

The new Hampton by Hilton Blackpool will be opening summer 2018. The hotel is taking bookings from June 21 and beyond. 

Hampton by Hilton Blackpool is located on the new South Promenade overlooking the Irish Sea and within walking distance of Blackpool's attractions such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle Water Park.

Hampton by Hilton Blackpool will have 130 bedrooms. Each will be equipped with an LCD flat-screen TV, coffeemaker, iron with ironing board and free in-room movie channels.

Hampton by Hilton Blackpool will offer free wi-fi access, a free hot breakfast, free coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. The hotel will also have a fitness room for guest use.

Hampton by Hilton Blackpool will not have a dinner restaurant nor will there be any meeting and events facilities.

Hampton by Hilton Blackpool is a ten-minute walk from Blackpool North station. The hotel will be operating a chargeable car park.

The Bluebird Inn in Samlesbury, Lancashire has just opened with 20 bedrooms. 

The Bluebird Inn, formerly The Boddington Arms, has just completed a £1million+ refurbishment instigated by the hotels new owners - JW Lees, the Greater-Manchester based brewer and pub operator. 

The Bluebird Inn at Samlesbury is named after Donald Campbell’s world-record breaking Bluebird K7 boat whose turbo-jet engine was built at the hotel’s near neighbour, SamlesburyAerodrome, now part of BAE Systems.

The Bluebird Inn has some events space suitable for business meetings and small corporate events.

Lindeth Howe hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District has unveiled a £1million investment.  

Features include a new ‘tea room’ for conferences, meetings and social occasions as well as a total refurbishment of the lounges and bar area. 

Built in 1879, Lindeth Howe was owned by Beatrix Potter for almost 20 years in the early 20th century and the hotel has retained its strong links with the author.

Lindeth Howe has 34 new–look bedrooms plus a new vegetable garden with an outdoor seating area for al-fresco dining.

Lindeth Howe has dropped ‘country house’ from its title in a bid to widen its appeal although it is set in six acres of gardens on a hillside overlooking Lake Windermere. It is around a 30-minute drive from the M6 at junction 36.
