A 15,580 sq-ft historic warehouse in Chorlton Street in central Manchester is set to become the latest aparthotel in Manchester.
The four-storey warehouse at 40 Chorlton Street was formerly home to Mash & Air restaurant and Jongleurs Comedy Club. The building is now due to undergo a full refurbishment over the course of the next twelve months including the possibility of adding a fifth floor. The warehouse would then become home for up to forty serviced apartments.
The specialist markets team at CBRE has now been instructed to secure an operator for the scheme.


Plans for the Mill Farm Sports Village to the north of Preston in Lancashire have been approved by Fylde Council. Plans include a new football ground, a 60-bedroom hotel and an Aldi store. The 6,000-seater football stadium will become home to AFC Fylde.

Building work will begin on the site in September 2014, with construction of the initial phase of the development including the football ground expected to take around 12 months.
Mill Farm Sports Village is located in the Fylde close to the M55 motorway at junction 3.


Accor Hotels has announced that it is to open a 78 bedroom Mercure hotel in Talbot Square in London - a location close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station.
Mercure London Hyde Park hotel will be operated under a franchise agreement with the property owner London Town Hotels Group. The hotel is being extensively renovating ahead of its scheduled opening later this year.

Mercure London Hyde Park will join Mercure London Paddington and Mercure London Kensington, two other London Town Group properties which also fly the Mercure flag.

Mercure Sheffield Parkway hotel has opened in Sheffield’s business district. The hotel, formerly the Aston Hotel Sheffield, has 78 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge plus conference and event facilities. The hotel has five meeting rooms in total including the main Peaks Suite which will accommodate up to 150 delegates theatre style and which will subdivide into smaller units.

Mercure Sheffield Parkway is located a couple of minutes off the M1 at junction 33,  four miles from the Sheffield city centre and one mile from Meadowhall shopping centre.

Beaumont Hotel is a new boutique hotel set to open in London's Mayfair in late summer 2014. Operated by restaurateurs Jeremy King and Chris Corbin, the 73 bedroom hotel is located at 8 Balderton Street in the former Avis building, a 1920's Art Deco structure originally used as a garage.
Very few details of the hotel have been published by the operators although it is generating plenty of headlines mainly because the Beaumont Hotel will feature a sculpture of a crouching man by artist Anthony Gormley which is predicted to become a landmark for the area.
Beaumont Hotel will feature 73 guest rooms, including 22 suites, a grill room, an American bar, a separate residents’ bar and lounge, a boardroom and a gymnasium and spa.

King and Corbin have made their reputation with top London restaurants such as The Wolseley, The Ivy and Le Caprice.
