A new Australasian-themed restaurant launches today (15 September 2017) in Cardiff's five-star St David's Hotel.

The Restaurant - ‘The Admiral St David’- will include a range of dishes influenced by countries within the Australasian and Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and Sri Lanka – all combined with ‘the best of seasonal Welsh produce’.

The restaurant takes its name from the hotel's nautical roots and its location on the waterfront overlooking Cardiff Bay.

GLH group has just launched its second Thistle Express branded hotel in Swindon.

Thistle Express Swindon has 95 bedrooms each equipped with a Hypnos bed, Smart blackout curtains, tea and coffee making facilities and free wi-fi throughout plus a free buffet breakfast.

Ten Hill Place, the hotel owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, is set to undergo a major expansion.

An £8.5million project will see an additional 52 bedrooms added to the existing  77 bedrooms at the four-star hotel.

The capacity of the restaurant and wine bar at Ten Hill Placewill also be increased. A gym will be a new addition.

The additional bedrooms will be created from existing office space already owned by the Royal College of Surgeons around Hill Square, an area which is becoming known as Edinburgh’s  ‘Surgeons’ Quarter’.

Construction work is scheduled to be complete by summer 2018. Ten Hill Place will remain open during the expansion.

Butcombe Brewery has unveiled a new-look for its 14-bedroom Methuen Arms hotel and pub in Corsham, Wiltshire following an extensive renovation.

All bedrooms at the Methuen Arms have undergone a soft refurbishment.

As well as boasting exposed beams and large Georgian windows, all bedrooms are now furnished with a flatscreen television, old school Roberts DAB radio, a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

The bar and kitchen areas at the Methuen Arms have also been refurbished.

The Scullery is the meeting room at the Methuen Arms. It too is newly refurbished and will seat between 18 and 22 delegates.

The Scullery is equipped with flipcharts, pens and pads, overhead projector and a large TV/projector screen. The room also opens onto a courtyard.

Future plans for the Methuen Arms include the transformation of former stables into five additional bedrooms and an old barn into additional events space.

The Methuen Arms dates from the Georgian era. It is located adjacent to the stately home of Corsham Court and is just eight miles from the City of Bath.

From September 11th 2017 The Wyboston Lakes Hotel has become The Waterfront Hotel Spa & Golf.

The Waterfront Hotel Spa & Golf, which is in Cambridgeshire, has just completed a £1million refurbishment of all 103 bedrooms.
