Plans have been unveiled for a new budget hotel concept about to be launched in the UK to be branded: NoCo.

NoCo is the brainchild of the Ennismore Group, operators of the Hoxton Shoreditch in London as well as Gleneagles in Scotland.

Each NoCo site will have between 150 and 200 bedrooms, with rates under £100. The hotels will be technology-based with booking and check-in carried out via an app.

Guestrooms will be compact and comfortable and the restaurants will aim to become destinations in their own right.

QHotels, operators of Mottram Hall Hotel, have submitted a planning application to alter and extend the 120-bedroom Mottram Hall Hotel in Cheshire.

The Grade II-listed Mottram Hall Hotel was constructed as a country house in the middle of the eighteenth century and is now a four-star hotel with the 18-hole Mottram Hall Championship Golf Course alongside.

The group plan a new two-storey conference centre extension with nine meeting rooms.  A new four-storey bedroom extension will add 34 bedrooms with 15 more bedrooms created through the conversion of existing meeting rooms. The main car park would also be extended.

A planning decision is expected in September.
