New Hotel opens in Glasgow
Accor is adding five hotels to its UK portfolio - three in London and two in Edinburgh. They include the 202-room Novotel Brentford (pictured) opening this year. Mercure London Heathrow opens in the spring 2015 with 184 bedrooms. Ibis Styles Kensington also opens next year with 115 bedrooms. In Edinburgh the 161-bedroom Ibis Budget Edinburgh Park and the 103-bedroom Ibis Styles St Andrew Square will be arriving shortly.
In addition the group has announced a new-build Novotel at Canary Wharf in London opening in 2016. Two Adagios, the group’s aparthotel brand, will also be opening in London. The first, in 2016 with 217 apartments follows conversion of Black Lion House, an office building in Whitechapel Road. Adagio London Stratford is scheduled to open two years later in 2018.

The National Motorcycle Museum has completed a £30,000 redevelopment of its Wardroom Suite. This is part of an overall £650,000 which will be spent across the museum and the group’s two hotels: the Windmill Village in Coventry and the Manor Hotel in Meriden.
The Wardroom Suite is designed for small boardroom meetings for up to 14 delegates or for one-to-one interviews. It is adjacent the larger Crow's Nest and can be used as break-out space for events requiring a separate or private area. Fully refurbished and air conditioned, the Wardroom Suite is equipped with high speed wi-fi, a high-definition 60” television and a built-in LCD screen and projector.
The Wardroom is one of 13 event spaces at the National Motorcycle Museum, the largest of which will accommodate up to 1,200 delegates. The venue also boasts a collection of over 1,000 classic British motorcycles.
The National Motorcycle Museum is located close to Birmingham International Airport and the NEC; on the junction of the M42 and close to the M6 and M40 motorways.

Aloft Liverpool opens with 116 bedrooms on 29th October 2014. The former Royal Insurance building will house the new hotel. The Grade II-listed building, which has lain derelict for the last twenty years, has been given a stylish, contemporary overhaul.
Aloft is the destination brand from Starwood Hotels which was created ‘to shake up the staid and traditional mid-market hotel sector’. With its urban-influenced design Aloft Liverpool rooms will feature high-ceilings and large windows, oversized showers and plenty of tech-savvy features. Aloft Liverpool will also include Aloft Hotel’s signature W XYZSM bar; re-fuel by Aloft - its a one-stop, 24-hour grab-and-go food and beverage area and re:charge fitness centre - open 24/7 for guests.
Aloft Liverpool will have a suite of five high-tech meeting rooms equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual, plasma televisions and complimentary wi-fi. More unusually it will also have a pet-friendly programme complete with Aloft-branded bed, bowl and complimentary treats and toys.
Aloft Liverpool is located in North John Street at the heart of the business district in the centre of Liverpool.

Flexible office and meeting space provider, Regus, is set to launch a drop-in business centre at the Sandbach South services on the M6. The centre is set to open later this year and is aimed at mobile workers and businesses travellers. Another Regus centre is opening at Roadchef's Norton Canes services on the M6 Toll.
The group is also planning to introduce Regus Express sites across three shopping centres: Meadowhall in Sheffield, Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh and Broughton Shopping Park in Chester. The Express sites will use space formerly occupied by centre management offices. They will range in size from 1,300 sq. ft. to 2,000 sq. ft. They will provide co-working space, private workstations and meeting rooms together with complementary refreshments and secure wi-fi.
Over the last year Regus has announced multiple Express sites from motorway service areas to UK airports. The group has recently announced its intention to create an Express hub at Birmingham International Airport later in the year.

Young’s Brewery is to re-launch the Orange Tree hotel and pub in Richmond-upon-Thames in September 2014 following a £1.7million refurbishment.
Orange Tree has 13-bedrooms, including three feature rooms with a walk-in shower and a separate dressing area. All bedrooms include a flat-screen television, a mini-bar and complimentary wi-fi. The hotel has an 80-cover dining room and a main bar with a décor inspired by its proximity to Twickenham rugby stadium.
