New Hotel opens in Glasgow

The Pilgrm is a new 73-bedroom hotel scheduled to open in Norfolk Square, west London in November 2017.

The Pilgrm is described as a ‘reinterpretation of the traditional hotel’. Guests will check-in online prior to arrival with the hotel’s ground floor café serving as the welcome area.

The Pilgrm will also include a lounge bar and a first floor dining room.

Bedrooms in The Pilgrm will feature a ‘pared back’ design highlighting original features from the building’s 200-year history such as the mahogany parquet flooring and the cast-iron radiators.

The Pilgrm was formerly the Royal Norfolk Hotel prior to its ‘reinvention’ and is the brainchild of a former partner in the Zetter Hotels Group. It is a short walk from Paddington mainline rail terminus and tube station.

London-based cocktail chain, Dirty Martini, opens its first bar in the north of England in central Manchester.

It opens in Peter Street close to the junction with Deansgate on 9^thNovember 2017.

Dirty Martini Manchester will be located in a former three storey retail and office unit.

Dirty Martini is known for its extensive menu of martinis, premium cocktails, wines and champagnes served in highly stylized interiors.

Dirty Martini Manchester will also offer a considerable amount of events space on the ground floor and basement levels.

Dry Martini Manchester will accommodate up to 400 guests with semi exclusive areas for 50 up to 250 guests. The total venue can be hired for up to 400 guests.

Dry Martini Manchester will become the tenth in the group’s growing portfolio

Canadian chain, Sandman Hotel Group, has opened its second property in the UK.

The 151-room Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel is now open following a three-year transformation of the hotel’s seven-storey building.

All bedrooms are air conditioned with an en-suite bathroom, flat screen LCD TV featuring free view channels and complimentary wi-fi. The bedrooms are also equipped for longer term stays and feature a microwave, fridge and laptop safe.

Leisure facilities include an upgraded indoor pool and a new steam room.

Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel has six newly refurbished conference rooms available for events. They are all air conditioned, with free wi-fi, wheelchair access, and complimentary parking. The Canadian Suite is the largest seating up to 200 delegates theatre style.

Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel is three miles from London Gatwick Airport and has good access to the M23 motorway.

Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel joins its sister property, the 170-room Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel. The group plan to open its third property in Aberdeen in early 2018.

The Nine Group has brought out of administration a partially built, new six-storey hotel on London’s Greenwich Peninsula. The building has been standing incomplete at the centre of the Greenwich Peninsula for over two years.

The Greenwich Peninsula Hotel will have 50 bedrooms when complete although there are plans to extend this. When complete it will hold a three-star rating.

Greenwich Peninsula Hotel is around a 10-minute walk from the O2 Arena and close to ExCeL London, North Greenwich station and London City airport.

The Nine Group operate thirteen hotels in the UK including the Novotel London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport Hotel.

Aerospace Bristol is a new venue and now home of the last Concorde aircraft to be built and the last to fly.

It opens on 17^thOctober.Aerospace Bristol charts a century of aviation history, with exhibits including aeroplanes, helicopters, missiles and satellites plus the star attraction - Concorde Alpha Foxtrot.

Events facilities include the main Concorde Gallery and Concorde Balcony where up to 500 guests can dine under the wings of Concorde.

Other rooms include the John James Theatre with tiered seating for up to 150 delegates rising to 200 with the allied Studio Space.The Miami, Washington and New York Rooms form a flexible range of meeting spaces seating between 28 and 95 delegates depending on formation.

Aerospace Bristol is located on a nine-acre site on Filton Airfield, a site which also includes two WWI Grade II-listed hangars.

Filton Airfield is located on the northern fringe of Bristol close to the M5 and M4 motorway interchange.
