The Napoleon Hotel and Bars has just opened in London – the only hotel with more bars than bedrooms.

The Napoleon Hotel newly renovated in 2017, features a single luxury suite and three bars. It claims to be London's ‘smallest grand hotel’.

The Napoleon Suite is a 40 sq-mt hotel room situated on the second floor of the Napoleon Hotel. The suite is equipped with a super-king size bed, lounge area, free wi-fi, free Spotify music, LED television, filtered cold and boiling water on-tap, fresh coffee and an extensive mini-bar. The bathroom features a roll-top bath.

The room is also equipped with a service elevator, providing room-service food and drink from any of the hotel’s three bars.

The Napoleon breakfast comprising of pastries and fruit is delivered to the suite in the morning.

The three bars at Napoleon Hotel and Bars each specialise in a different area of drinking culture. Food and drink from any of the hotel bars can be delivered to The Napoleon Suite via the service elevator.

The Napoleon Hotel and Bars is located in Christopher Street in Hackney.

A full planning application has now been submitted for the proposed 1620 Development on the site of the former Quality Hotel on Plymouth Hoe.

The development will include an 11-storey luxury boutique hotel with 80 bedrooms – an increase from the 60 bedrooms originally planned, plus a 15-storey residential tower with 88 apartments. The hotel would also feature conference and events space, a health spa and restaurant.

The Quality Inn building, widely regarded in the city as an ‘eyesore’, was demolished last year.

Construction of the new hotel is scheduled to begin in late autumn of 2017. The 1620 is due for completion in late-2019, in time for the 400th anniversary celebrations to mark the sailing of the Mayflower from Plymouth to the New World in 1620.

Work is currently on-going restoring and redeveloping Grantley Hall into a five-star hotel.

Grantley Hall is a Grade II-listed country house near Ripon in North Yorkshire.

When complete Grantley Hall hotel will have 52 bedrooms, three restaurants and a spa.

Plans have now been approved to create purpose-designed events space alongside the hall's Japanese Garden, with additional suite-style bedrooms.

The Grantley Hall hotel project is scheduled for completion during 2018.

Grantley Hall was built in the mid-18th century as a private residence. More recently the building was used as a convalescent home during World War II. After the war, the property became an adult education residential centre.

Grantley Hall is situated near Grantley, around five miles west of Ripon, on the banks of the River Skell.

Plans have been approved to convert a former cinema in the centre of Leeds into a new hotel.

The site of the former Scala Theatre on Lands Lane in Leeds is set to be become a 93-bedroom easyHotel.

The four-storey building is currently vacant. It was most recently occupied by retailer Miss Selfridge until summer 2015.

The upper floors of the building will be converted into hotel bedrooms. The ground floor and the basement floor will be developed into a restaurant and cafe as well as the hotel reception.

A 2018 opening date is anticipated for easyHotel Leeds

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has officially opened MCC's new £25 million Warner Stand at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

The Warner Stand, which has been built over the course of the last two winters, is the first new stand at Lord’s since the Grand Stand was completed in 1998.

The new Warner Stand is located between the Grade II-listed Pavilion and the Grand Stand and replaces the original Warner Stand, which was completed in 1958 and was no longer considered fit for purpose.

New spaces and facilities within the Warner Stand include a new Match Control Suite, located at the rear of the lower tier seating. There is a host of restaurants and bars at all levels that will serve to boost non-match day income.

A 135-cover glazed-walled restaurant occupies a central position with large windows looking out over the pitch.

The Warner Stand is part of a 20-year masterplan for Lord’s Cricket ground. The plan comprises the redevelopment of four existing buildings, including the Tavern and Allen Stands and a partial refurbishment of the Grade II-listed Pavilion and Bowlers’ Annexe.
