Curzon Victoria, the newest cinema in central London, is a versatile venue with conference and hospitality facilities available for private hire.

Curzon Victoria has five screening rooms, four of which are available for events. The screening rooms seat between 27 and 69 delegates. The screening rooms are equipped with 4K Sony Digital Projection. Two of the rooms have 3D capability.

Curzon Victoria also features a bar area to accommodate up to 50 guests, a mezzanine with a capacity for 70 and a room for private functions, drinks receptions and parties.

Workspace provider, Regus, is opening a new facility in central London this month. It will be located at 63 St Mary Axe, in the heart of the City of London.

Regus will be occupying 19,000 sq-ft of the refurbished building’s first and second floors. The facility will include a range of flexible workspaces including meeting rooms and serviced offices.

The meeting space is bookable by the hour and is inclusive of free wi-fi plus flipchart, whiteboard and marker pen hire.

63 St Mary Axe is located at the centre of London’s financial district with good access to Liverpool Street Station, Leadenhall Market and the financial services and insurance companies who inhabit this part of London.

The Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel has been acquired by the London Town Group of hotels, the London-based hotelier, as part of its UK expansion plans.

The ten-storey Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel has 111 modern bedrooms, a brassiere-style restaurant, bar, meeting and conference facilities.

It is located in the Quay Side quarter of Sheffield, close to the city centre, the station and motorway.

The new owners now intend to refurbish and rebrand the hotel.


Hotel du Vin has announced the recently acquired Magdalen Chapter hotel in Exeter will be rebranded as the Hotel du Vin Exeter. This will take the number of Hotel du Vin hotels in the UK to 17.

The hotel will be refurbished to bring it in line with Hotel du Vin’s style with its strong focus on food, wine, whisky and spirits.

Hotel du Vin Exeter Is housed in the former West England Eye Hospital building. Following its closure the property began its hotel career as Hotel Barcelona in 2002. It is located close to Exeter cathedral in the city centre.

Plans to build a new four-star hotel in Manchester have been revealed.

A planning application has been made for a 172-bedroom AC by Marriott Hotel with a bar-restaurant plus meeting  and leisure facilities to be built on the edge of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The hotel would have two wings, a nine storey and an eight storey, with public areas on the ground floor and accommodation on the upper floors.

The scheme is located on a brownfield site which is currently used as a surface car park.

The new hotel is viewed as a catalyst bringing forward the regeneration of this part of Manchester.
