Hilton London Bankside is now open with 292 bedrooms in London’s Bankside on the south bank of the River Thames.

Bedrooms in Hilton London Bankside are furnished with a Hilton Serenity bed, a 42inch HD television, an ergonomic work desk and chair, a lap-top size safe, iron and ironing board and free wi-fi. ‘Oxbo Bankside’ is the hotel grill restaurant and ‘The Distillery’ is the destination bar. New owners of the 103-bedroom Regency Hotel in London's Kensington are planning a £10million refurbishment of the property prior to relaunching the hotel in early 2016 as the DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington.


Genting Resorts World opens at the NEC in Birmingham from 21st October 2015 in a phased opening over several weeks. Genting Resorts World is a leisure, retail and conference destination and it will house a hotel, cinema, retail outlets and a casino plus Vox, the conference and banqueting facility.

Facilities at Vox include five fully flexible meeting suites to accommodate up to 900 delegates for a theatre style meeting or 850 guests for a banquet - with foyer areas overlooking Pendigo Lake at the NEC.

easyHotels are planning two new hotels in the north west. The group has acquired a former office building with a ground floor restaurant at 47 Castle Street in the centre Liverpool, which it intends to convert into a 68-bedroom easyHotel.

The ground floor will remain a restaurant with the hotel accommodation on the four upper floors. The property is around a ten minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station and the hotel is expected to open spring 2016.

Meanwhile in Manchester, easyHotels have acquired Bradley House (pictured) in Manchester's Northern Quarter and plan to convert it into a 114-bedroom easyHotel. Bradley House, locally known as “The Flatiron” building because of its unique shape, dates back to the 1880's. It is located at the junction of Dale Street and Newton Street and is an approximate ten minute walk from both Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria stations.

The easyHotel brand was founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who is best known for launching budget airline easyJet in 1995.

Hackney Borough planning committee have given approval for the construction of a 45-storey mixed hotel and office block next to the Broadgate development in London.

The site is being developed by New York-based Masterworks Development Corporation which owns the Club Quarters hotel brand. The new Club Quarters hotel with 390 bedrooms will be located in the top 27-floors of the building with office space beneath.

The new development is located at 13-14 Appold Street. It will replace the 1988-built Bavaria House which currently stands on the site.

Demolition of Bavaria House is scheduled to take place in November 2015 which will clear the way for a three and a half-year construction programme.

Currently there are three Club Quarters hotels in London: at Trafalgar Square, St Pauls and Gracechurch Street close to Monument tube station.
