D&D Events will shortly be launching what they claim is their 'most spectacular restaurant to date'. The German Gymnasium opens in central London between Kings Cross and St Pancras stations on 12th November 2015.
The building was Britain’s first purpose-built gym and was the site for the indoor events at the first Olympic Games, held in London back in 1866.The new Conran-designed interior has kept the original cast-iron hooks from which budding Olympians swung from ropes, as well as the laminated timber roof trusses.
The German Gymnasium will include a Grand Café, restaurant and bar. It will also include a semi-private dining room and an outdoor terrace. The semi-private dining room will seat up to 32 guests, or 50 guests for a cocktail and canapé reception. The mezzanine will accommodate up to 250 guests for a standing reception and the entire venue up to 500 guests.
German Gymnasium can be hired exclusively during the day, for a breakfast meeting or for corporate entertaining in the evening.
German Gymnasium is located in King's Boulevard in London.
