The first job for Simon Willetts the new manager at the recently rebranded National Conference Centre in Birmingham – it was the National Motorcycle Museum – was to measure up and reassess the capacities of his thirteen meeting rooms.

Following the review the National Conference Centre can now reveal a sizeable increase in capacities over those previously published.

The Britannia is still the largest suite seating up to 1400 delegates theatre style and closely followed by the Imperial seating 1300 delegates theatre style.

In the ‘middling-bracket’ both the Manxman and the Compton will seat up to 400 delegates theatre style closely followed by the Premier seating 370 and the Trafalgar seating 300 – both theatre style.

Even the Wardroom, the smallest room in the house at 37 sq-mt will now seat up to 14 delegates boardroom style.

Currently the Crows Nest Suite (100 theatre style) is under refurbishment.

The Technical Department at the National Conference Centre will provide support and expertise for all manner of events from design and build to operating stage sets. Other services include PowerPoint production, sound and lighting systems, rigging services and audio/video recording and editing.

The National Conference Centre overlooks the M42 junction 6 at its interchange with the A45 – close to Birmingham International airport, Birmingham International station and the NEC complex.
