Apex City of Glasgow Hotel has just opened with 104 bedrooms in the centre of Glasgow.

The bedrooms, which include five duplex suites with views over the city, are stylishly decorated and fully air-conditioned. Each room is furnished with a 46/48” LCD television with satellite channels, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, a large desk and chair, a fridge and a safe. Bathrooms include a walk-in shower as well as the obligatory 'Apex duck'. Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel.

The Lounge serves locally-sourced light bites and a self-service menu throughout the day.

Apex City of Glasgow Hotel is located in Bath Street in the heart of Glasgow. Both Glasgow Queen Street Station and Glasgow Central Station are only a short distance from the hotel. There is no parking on-site although there is a multi-storey car park near the hotel in Bath Street.

The Coniston Hotel and Country Estate in the North Yorkshire Dales has just opened its new Spa. The state-of-the-art facilities include a 15metre indoor swimming pool, a thermal suite, a gym, a fitness studio, eight spa treatment rooms and a relaxation area plus an outdoor spa pool and terrace.

Dominvs Group has submitted plans to build a new £30million hotel and microbrewery in the centre of Oxford.

The 145-bedroom hotel will be located in Paradise Street at the site of the vacant Cooper Callas building and the former ‘Brewery Gate’ public house.

Dominvs are currently building a new 296-bedroom Holiday Inn in the centre of Manchester with a restaurant and conference facilities. It is scheduled to open in 2016 and is located in Aytoun Street, a two minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station.

Planning approval has been granted for a new 134-bedroom Ibis Styles hotel in the centre of Leeds. The hotel will also feature a ground floor 4,000 sq-ft Marco Pierre White restaurant with 90 covers.

The development is located in the Arena Quarter of Leeds. The Ibis Styles hotel will be on the site of the former Merrion Hotel which closed in 2012. A two storey extension is being added to the building to provide extra hotel accommodation and space for the restaurant.

The restaurant will be the first Marco's New York Italian Restaurant in Leeds and the first establishment of any kind which Pierre White has opened in the city where he grew up and began his culinary training.

The development is expected to open in December 2016.
