Carlson Rezidor has announced plans to build a new 176-bedroom Radisson Red hotel on the banks of the River Clyde near the SECC conference and exhibition centre in Glasgow. Radisson Red is the group's recently launched lifestyle brand.

The hotel will be the first Radisson Red hotel to be built in Europe. The ten-storey building will include a restaurant called Redeli and a roof bar with views across the city. It will include meeting space as well as a gym.

The Radisson Red Glasgow will also feature an exterior that will appear to change colour in reaction to natural light.

Radisson Red Glasgow is expected to open during 2017.

The Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport has just opened with 165 bedrooms. The hotel has direct access via a covered walkway to the main terminal building at Aberdeen Airport.

Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport has 165 contemporary bedrooms, two bars and a restaurant. Bedrooms include luxury executive, club and twin guest rooms. Each is equipped with a 40inch LCD television, tea and coffee making facilities, electronic laptop safe, complimentary wi-fi, mini-bar, hairdryer and individual desks with built-in USB charge points.

'Offshore Bar & Grill' is the hotel restaurant. There is a residents-only fully air-conditioned fitness centre.

The conference centre at Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport has its own separate entrance and comprises ten meeting rooms all with natural daylight. The largest room will accommodate up to 80 delegates. There is secure parking for 250 cars.

The sister hotel of the Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport and its close neighbour is the 193-bedroom Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport which opened earlier this year.

The Topland Group plan to bring all 20 properties from its Hallmark and Menzies Hotels together under the Hallmark Hotel brand. The former Menzies hotels will be rebranded as follows:

The Queens Hotel Cheltenham has just completed a major refurbishment and reopened under a new name: Queens Hotel Cheltenham MGallery Collection.

The MGallery Collection is Accor’s worldwide grouping of individually styled boutique hotels. The Queens Hotel joins the Francis Hotel Bath - MGallery Collection as the only other MGallery Collection hotel in the UK. They will be joined by the Windsor Castle Hotel later this month.

Queens Hotel Cheltenham MGallery Collection has 84 guestrooms including superior, deluxe and four suites. The Napier Restaurant and Conservatory serves traditional and contemporary British cuisine. The hotel's Gold Cup Bar is a nod to Cheltenham’s most prestigious sporting event.

The Regency Suite is the hotel’s conference and events suite and will accommodate up to 100 delegates for a theatre style meeting.

Queens Hotel Cheltenham MGallery Collection is half a mile from Cheltenham station and three miles from the M5 at junction 11.

Accor Hotels has announced Ibis Styles Reading Oxford Road, a new hotel with 97-bedroom will be opening by the end of 2015 following an extensive renovation programme.

Ibis Styles is the brand’s 'boutique arm'- design-led and individual. The hotels are located in key cities and feature interiors inspired by its local area.

Accor currently has nine Ibis Styles hotels in the UK. Ibis Styles Reading Oxford Road will be the group's fourth hotel in Reading.
