Barrington Hall is a privately owned country mansion in the village of Barrington just outside Cambridge and it is raising its profile as a corporate meetings venue.
Barrington Hall has three meeting rooms and a marquee in total and it offers exclusive use of its facilities to all clients. The rooms include the Gosforth and Bendyshe Rooms each seating up to 25 delegates boardroom style plus the Kendal room accommodating up to 120 delegate theatre style. The marquee in the gardens will accommodate up to 150 guests. Each meeting room is equipped with an OHP ceiling mounted screen and a data projector and there is wi-fi access throughout  - plus unlimited refreshments.
Barrington Hall is located seven miles south-west of Cambridge and the same distance north-west from Royston with both offering a 45 to 60 minute train journey into London. It is easily accessible from the M11.

Event agency, the Concerto Group, is opening new event space in Liverpool’s Royal Liver Building on 1st June 2014. Named ‘The Venue’, the space is located on the first floor of the building overlooking the River Mersey.
The Venue offers flexible space and is suitable for a range of events including parties, dinners, conferences, product launches. fashion shows and photo shoots. The Venue will accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Royal Liver Building is a Grade I-listed building and part of Liverpool’s UNESCO “World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City”.

Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI), the management company who operate ICMI The Collection has launched a new brand: ‘ICMI Lodges & Inns’.

ICMI The Collection is a group of eight luxury properties in Scotland including the Atholl in Edinburgh, Inverlochy Castle in Fort William and the newly opened Cromlix in Dunblane.

ICMI Lodges & Inns, on the other hand, will target privately owned three-star hotels and houses. One hotel and three houses have joined the group so far. The Inch Hotel in Fort Augustus (pictured left), 45 minutes from Inverness or Fort William it has 18 bedrooms plus a meeting room with views across Loch Ness which will accommodate up to 35 delegates. The three houses include: The Factors Inn and Factors Cottage at Inverlochy near Fort William, and the Colonel's Cottage at Greywalls in East Lothian.

ICMI recently won the title of ‘Hotel Management Company of the Year' for the fifth year in a row at the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards.

The North West Institute of Directors (IoD) is relocating its Members Lounge and regional headquarters currently housed in City Tower in the centre of Manchester. It is moving to Lowry House in Marble Street, close to the central business district of Manchester city centre. The move is scheduled for 23rd June 2014.
Facilities in Lowry House include a contemporary reception area and a suite of ground floor meeting rooms accommodating from three to 18 delegates. The meeting rooms are fully air conditioned and are equipped with interactive whiteboards, the latest AV equipment and free wi-fi. The meeting rooms can be booked by the hour, half day or full day.
Both Piccadilly Gardens and Deansgate are a five-minute walk away with Piccadilly Station only slightly further.

Hilton Worldwide has announced the launch of a new addition to its stable of hotel brands:  Curio – A Collection by Hilton.

The group will feature four-star and five-star individually-styled properties. Curio – A Collection by Hilton will eventually be global but so far just five hotels have signed-up to join and all of them are located in the United States.

Whilst the hotels will maintain their own distinctive character and style they gain the benefits of the Hilton system including use of the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty program.

The introduction of Curio – A Collection by Hilton means that Hilton Worldwide now has eleven brands, six of which are in Europe.
