Technology-focused hotel chain, Yotel, has announced the launch of its serviced apartment: Yotel Pad.

It will also feature a club lounge for co-working, meetings and entertaining - fitted with the group’s signature Technowall system.

Communal areas and amenities will include 24/7 gyms, bike and gear storage, Amazon lockers, laundry, home cinema and a library.

The apartments will offer 'perfectly designed living solutions' by optimising the limited space in apartments with sizes starting from a mere 20 sq-mt.

Yotel Pads are not due to land in the UK just yet. However, the group is set to launch globally with five projects already confirmed in North America, Europe (in Geneva) and the Middle East.

The first Yotel Pad will open at Park City Mountain in Utah, the largest ski resort in the United States.

Room 2 Southampton is a new aparthotel opening in Southampton in March 2018 and housed in a former office building, which dates from the 1990's.

Room 2 Southampton has been designed by Project Orange – a Shoreditch-based design studio with a focus on ‘design, comfort and value’.

The interior features are not dissimilar to those found on board traditional cruise liners, a nod towards the importance of Southampton in trans-Atlantic travel.

Room 2 has 71 studio rooms each with a fully equipped kitchen, work table, rainfall showers, free wi-fi, screen mirroring TV, a king sized bed and air conditioning.

A selection of rooms feature ‘mezzanine top decks’ for flexible stays accommodating families, children and sharers.

The public area on the ground floor is designed as a space to work, meet and relax. A ‘grab and go’ coffee bar operates during the day and turns into a bar in the evening.

Room 2 is located at 1-8 Queens Terrace in Southampton.

Room 2 plan to open their next aparthotel in Chiswick in London

Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92’ players have secured planning approval to create the University Academy ’92 in Manchester.

The ‘Class of 92’ refers to former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.

University Academy ’92 is a new university planned in Manchester. It would be created in and around the existing Kellogg’s building in Talbot Road in Manchester. The development would also create a new hotel plus a leisure centre and apartments.
