Ten Hill Place Hotel in the centre of Edinburgh has joined Best Western’s Premier Collection.

Ten Hill Place Hotel becomes the first Scottish hotel to join the Premier Collection.

Ten Hill Place Hotel has 77 well equipped bedrooms plus a restaurant and bar. It is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was previously the postgraduate residence of the College.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced plans for a dual branded hotel development near Heathrow Airport in London.

The two hotels:  Holiday Inn London - Heathrow Bath Road and Staybridge Suites London - Heathrow Bath Road are due to open in 2018.

The  Staybridge Suites property with 190 bedrooms will be built alongside a new 433-bedroom Holiday Inn.

Located on Bath Road, the hotels are close to the main entrances to Terminals 1,2&3 of Heathrow Airport.

Holiday Inn London - Heathrow Bath Road will feature the brand’s signature Open Lobby, combining the front desk, lobby, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one open, cohesive space.

Staybridge Suites London - Heathrow Bath Road  will feature studios and one-bedroom suites, which will include fully equipped kitchens, LED televisions, large work areas, air conditioning and free wireless internet throughout.

The two hotels will also contain seven meeting rooms, an onsite gym each and over 300 parking spaces.

The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane opens in October 2016 following completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment programme at the hotel.

Sheraton Grand London Park Lane will join the 32 other Sheraton Grand properties worldwide.

The building which houses the 303-bedroom Sheraton Grand London Park Lane originally opened in 1927. The refurbishment has transformation both the bedrooms and public spaces, combining modern features with the original Art-Deco style of the building.

43 Sheraton Club rooms and Suites have been added, all with access to the Sheraton Club Lounge. They also include complimentary use of a private meeting room which can seat up to eight people.

The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane will include a new Italian restaurant: Mercante.

A renovation of the gym will almost treble its current size and will feature brand new state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Sheraton Grand London Park Lane is located in Piccadilly in the heart of London’s Mayfair, facing Green Park and just a short walk from Buckingham Palace.

The former Royal Bank of Scotland headquarters in Edinburgh is being converted into a hospitality hub to include 50 serviced apartments, a café, bar and restaurant as well as leisure facilities.

The so-called ‘Edinburgh Grand’ project will feature a 200-cover bar and restaurant in the former banking hall.

Much of the original details of the property on St Andrew Square in Edinburgh will be retained, including the marble columns and fireplaces, wood panelled walls and bronze balustrades.

Edinburgh Grand is scheduled for completion by summer 2017.
