Best Western Donnington Manor Hotel, Sevenoaks in Kent has just closed. It will now begin an extensive refurbishment of all 59 bedrooms.

The bedrooms will undergo a complete facelift. The new look rooms will feature a  Hypnos 1200 sprung pocket mattress, a 40" LCD smart television, individually controlled heating and cooling, a contemporary bathroom with a rain shower, high speed wi-fi connectivity and a USB port by the bedside and desk.

Best Western Donnington Manor Hotel is scheduled to reopen on 8th March 2015.

Plans to convert Sentinel House in Eccles, Salford into a 126 bedroom hotel are set for approval by planning officers at Salford City Council.

Omega Travel have brought the 15-storey, 1970's office building with plans to convert half the building into a hotel catering for Chinese tourists on sightseeing tours of the UK. Salford is viewed as an ideal location close to Manchester Airport, midway between London and Scotland and with Manchester attractions on the doorstep.

Plans for the building also include a 180sq-mt entrance foyer, a 218-cover restaurant and bar on the second floor plus a coach lay-by/drop-off area. The rest of the building would remain as office space.

Sentinel House is located in Peel Street in Eccles.

The first phase of the restoration of Preston's Guild Hall has been approved. The Guild Hall is now operated by Simon Rigby's hotel and hospitality-based Villa Group who are set to invest £1million in the venue. The Villa group is on a mission to make Preston Guild Hall a busy and cultural hub via ‘an eclectic mix of entertainment, education and eating’. Entertainment includes conference and meeting facilities.

Work will be starting shortly on a new entrance, a new atrium to cover the first-floor balcony, new cafes and meeting areas plus an overall upgrade of the Guild Hall’s technology.

Preston Guild Hall was built in 1972-73 to the designs of Scottish architects Robert Matthew and Stirratt Johnson-Marshall in the new ‘Brutalist’ style complementing Preston's Grade-listed bus station alongside.

Hotel Indigo Birmingham, located on the 23rd and 24th floors of the Cube building overlooking the city centre, is about to undergo a £2000,000 refurbishment.  All 52 bedrooms and the hotel’s Marco Pierre White steak restaurant on Level 25 will be refurbished. Hotel Indigo Birmingham has now been open for four years.

Marco Pierre White restaurant and bar with its 360° panoramic city-views will have replacement furniture and carpets with a new décor and lighting.
Bedrooms in Hotel Indigo Birmingham will be refreshed as well as the hotel reception and lounge.

Hotel Indigo Birmingham is situated in Birmingham’s ‘canal-quarter’, a ten minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station.

Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge, Surrey is closing its Broadwater Restaurant in January 2015 for a complete refurbishment. It will re-launch in February with a new name and a new menu.
