The new Hotel Indigo Durham has just opened in the centre of Durham. 

Hotel Indigo – Durham occupies the Grade II-listed ‘Old Shire Hall’, the building that was once a university building and acted as its administrative headquarters. It was office to the Durham University Vice-Chancellor until 2012.

The design of every Hotel Indigo property reflects the local environment making each one unique.

Hotel Indigo - Durham has 83 boutique bedrooms each featuring a décor which reflect the city’s ties to its famous trinity of cathedral, castle and university.

Hotel Indigo – Durham includes a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill as well as ‘Rotunda’ bar and ‘Tinderbox Espresso Bar’.

Hotel Indigo – Durham has one 843 sq-ft meeting room accommodating up to 80 delegates.

The hotel’s 24-hour gym is furnished with cardio and weight lifting equipment.

Wi-fi is complimentary throughout the hotel.

The Hotel Indigo brand is set to increase its footprint in 2018 with upcoming openings including Hotel Indigo London – 1 Leicester Square, Hotel Indigo London – Aldgate and Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon.

Aerotel London Heathrow is a new airport hotel opening at London Heathrow Terminal 3 on 1st May 2018. 

Aerotel London Heathrow will be Aerotel’s sixth hotel to open worldwide and the first in Europe.

Aerotel London Heathrow will have 82 ‘premium yet affordable’ rooms ranging from singles to family rooms accommodating between one and four guests.

Aerotel London Heathrow will feature a 24-hour Library Lounge offering food and beverages. Wi-fi will be complimentary throughout.

Aerotel London Heathrow will feature a flexible booking system with rooms available from six-hourly slots. It is designed for travellers who have a long layover before a connecting flight or perhaps are arriving or departing late at night or early in the morning.

Aerotel London Heathrow is located on the ground floor in the east wing of Terminal 3 Arrivals. It is the only airport hotel landside at the terminal. It is within easy walking distance of Terminal 2 and is easily accessible by the terminal transfer service.

Plans are to be submitted shortly for another new hotel in Manchester. 

Developers intend to demolish an office block at 55 Portland Street in the centre of Manchester and replace it with a 17-storey new hotel.

The new hotel, would be operated by the Ireland-based Dalata Hotel Group.

The new hotel would include 329 bedrooms plus a restaurant at ground floor and mezzanine level.

The hotel would be operated under Dalata’s four-star Clayton brand.

Dalata also operate the four-star Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport.


Plans for a new service station and hotel just off junction 45 of the M1 motorway in Leeds have been submitted. 

The Skelton Lake Services project envisages a series of structures with green "living" roofs. These include a new two-storey, 100-bedroom hotel.

Outline planning permission has already been granted.

Final plans are recommended for approval when they go before councillors shortly.

Milton Keynes Council has approved plans for a new 14-storey hotel in the centre of Milton Keynes. 

If all goes to plan 'Hotel La Tour' will open in 2020. It will be the tallest building in the Milton Keynes and will feature a top floor viewing platform plus an art exhibition, which will be named ‘SeeMK’.

Hotel La Tour will have 251 bedrooms, conference and leisure facilities plus a rooftop restaurant and bar.

The site for the proposed Hotel La Tour is near the city’s Marlborough Gate junction. It is currently used as a coach park.

The first, and so far only, Hotel La Tour in the UK opened in the centre of Birmingham in 2012. The hotel was subsequently acquired by the Dalata Hotel Group and now flies the Clayton Hotel flag.
