The new Machrie Hotel is set to open on the Isle of Islay in the Scottish Hebrides in June 2018.

The hotel will sit alongside the newly refurbished Machrie Links golf course. 

Machrie Hotel is a convertedand extended 18th-century farmhouse. It will have 47 bedrooms; a bar/restaurant; a private 30 seater cinema; events space; two treatment rooms; a sauna and small gym.

Machrie Hotel will feature an open courtyard in the centre of the complex, which will be used for refreshments and which can be covered to create a large function area.

Machrie Hotelwill be operated by Campbell Gray Hotels.

The Merrow Hotel and Spa complex will include 118 bedrooms, a luxury spa with sea views, a leisure club with a 20metre pool, a glass sauna and infinity pool, a steam room, a gym and studio, a demonstration restaurant, a bar/bistro restaurant, a signature cocktail bar, conference space, meeting rooms and nine chalets serviced by the hotel.

The Merrow Hotel and Spa will be located in Ballyreagh Road, Portstewart, adjacent to the start and finish line of the world renowned ‘International NW200’ motorcycling event.

The Merrow Hotel has become the latest hotel to join Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts’ UK portfolio. The hotel will become the official home of the NW200, with the event offices located within the hotel grounds.

The Merrow has two golf courses on its doorstep including the Royal Portrush, which will host the 2019 Open Golf Championship.

The 65-bedroom boutique Shankly Hotel will be located in the 114-year-old Grade II-listed former central Post Office overlooking the main Flag Market and Harris Museum in the centre of Preston.

The building closed as a Post Office in 2005.

Signature Living already operate the Shankly Hotel which opened in Liverpool in 2015.

Like its Liverpool namesake, Shankly Hotel Preston will celebrate the history of the football legend, Bill Shankly,  who played for Preston North End between 1933-1949 before going on to lead Liverpool Football Club to a series of league title wins in the 1960s and 70’s.

The hotel will showcase unseen memorabilia from Bill Shankly’s football career. It will also include a restaurant and bar.

Shankly Hotel Preston is expected to open in September 2018.

The £20million Hampton-by-Hilton is located on Blackpool’s South Promenade on the site of the once derelict Palm Beach and Bourne hotels in the town.
