Young’s Brewery has re-launched the Orange Tree hotel and pub in Richmond-upon-Thames with 13 new boutique bedrooms following a £1.7million refurbishment and extension.

The selection of rooms includes superior s, doubles and twins plus interconnecting rooms allowing families of up to four to stay together. Each is equipped with a flat-screen television, a mini-bar, a work desk, chair and lamp, a laptop safe, a hospitality tray plus an iron and ironing board. Wi-fi is free of charge throughout the hotel.

The hotel has an 80-cover dining room and a main bar with a décor inspired by its proximity to Twickenham rugby stadium.

The Orange Tree is located in Kew Road in Richmond on Thames just over one hundred metres from Richmond station and tube station (District Line) with a frequent rail service into central London.

The Beaumont Hotel has opened in London with 73 upscale bedrooms and suites. The Beaumont is the first hotel from restaurateurs Jeremy King and Chris Corbin better known as operators of the Wolseley, the Delaunay and a number of other leading restaurants in London.

All rooms and suites have complimentary soft drinks, tea and Nespresso coffee, dual-line telephones, local and national landline calls, voice messaging, personally controlled air-conditioning, complimentary wi-fi, interactive film and music on demand and a personal laptop safe. The one-bedroom Presidential Suite has a large terrace and can also be opened up to encompass a further five bedrooms, making it ideal for a small group.

The Lotos Room is the hotel's boardroom and private dining room on the lower ground floor of the Beaumont. It will seat 16 delegates for a board meeting or up to 48 guests for a private breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The Cub Room is the residents-only  bar and lounge with the American Bar open to both hotel residents and the general public. The Colony Grill Room serves classical dishes from both sides of the Atlantic and is open seven days a week from 7.00am until late.

The Beaumont also has a spa and a complimentary residents-only gymnasium.  

The Beaumont is located at 8 Balderton Street, an art-deco styled former Avis garage in London’s Mayfair.

Plans to develop a new hotel on Belfast's waterfront are progressing with an invitation from Belfast Harbour, the port’s operators, to hotel companies to submit ‘expressions of interest’.

Belfast Harbour's 20-acre, £250million City Quays development plan includes a new 150 to 200 bedroom upscale hotel which could be open by 2017.The hotel would  be developed and owned by Belfast Harbour.

If and when it opens it will join venues on site including Titanic Belfast plus Waterfront Hall which will be doubling the size of its conference centre in a project scheduled to complete by early 2016.

Etc.venues plan to open their next venue, their fourteenth in London, at Marble Arch in January 2015. Etc.venues Marble Arch will include 16000 sq-ft of space over two floors with the largest room accommodating 120 delegates theatre style with an additional 13 rooms of various sizes. All rooms will be air-conditioned with plenty of natural daylight and free wi-fi. It will also feature an on-site restaurant and lounge with a theatre style kitchen and chefs serving a variety of food styles.

Etc.venues Marble Arch will be located in Edgware Road. Hard hat tours for interested parties start in November 2014.

106-109 Saffron Hill is a relatively new meeting venue located in Farringdon in London. It is the home of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. 106-109 Saffron Hill offers six contemporary meeting spaces which can be formatted to suit a variety of requirements.

There are three rooms on the lower ground floor which can be used individually or combined. Combined they will accommodate up to 50 delegates theatre style. Three rooms on the second floor will seat up to 75 delegates when combined. The second floor Amazon Room is the largest individual space seating up to 28 delegates boardroom style. Each room is equipped with the latest AV technology including a flatscreen television and LCD projector.

A full catering service covers breakfast, lunch from sandwiches to a full seated affair plus private dinners.
