New Hotel opens in Glasgow

easyHotel group is planning to open its first hotel in Northern Ireland.

The hotel will have 81-bedrooms and will be located in a section of the Howard Building in Howard Street in the centre of Belfast. The building formerly housed offices and a dry cleaners.

easyHotel Belfast will include a ground floor café and will sit above some of Belfast's best-known restaurants including Meat Locker, Love Fish and Eipic all operated by chef Michael Deane.

easyHotel Belfast is expected to open in 2018.

easyHotels currently have 13 hotels in the UK including eight in and around London.

Montcalm Royal London House - City of London is now fully open with the meeting space and the rooftop Aviary restaurant recently completed.

Montcalm Royal London House - City of London is located in a converted mid-20th century former office building.

The hotel has 273 bedrooms, the rooftop Aviary restaurant, Burdock gastro pub, a cafe and fruit juice bar plus an indoor swimming pool and spa facility.

Five main meeting rooms and two private dining rooms will accommodate boardroom meetings for ten delegates up to private dinners for 300 guests.

Plans to extend the four-star Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool's Georgian Quarter have been given the go-ahead.

Owners plan to add 12 new bedrooms and 26 aparthotel suites.

They will be constructed on the top of the 1930s extension to the former Royal School for the Blind alongside Hope Street Hotel.

Hope Street Hotel currently has 89 bedrooms offering free wi-fi, iPod docks, an LCD television with satellite channels and a DVD player.

There is a restaurant, bar and lounge plus a fitness centre.

Hope Street Hotel is located in Liverpool city centre within easy reach of the local transport hubs.

J D Wetherspoon will open the Bell Hotel in Aylesbury later in January. The Bell Hotel is a refurbished Grade II-listed building. The hotel will include 14 twin/double bedrooms.

The pub on the ground floor of the building is also being refurbished.

All bedrooms are en-suite and air-conditioned. They are equipped with tea/coffee-making facilities, a plasma television and hairdryer. There is unlimited free wi-fi throughout the hotel and bar area.

The Bell Hotel has a courtyard and offers a range of food and drinks in the pub.

The Bell Hotel is located in Market Square in the centre of Aylesbury. It is a five minute walk from Aylesbury station and a five minute walk from the nearest multi-storey car park.

Samlesbury Hotel in Preston is the latest hotel to join the Best Western Plus brand.

Samlesbury Hotel is a modern, four-star hotel, recently refurbished with 80 well-equipped bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and fitness centre.

Samlesbury Hotel has eight meeting and conference rooms, including the Canberra Suite which will accommodate up to 220 delegates.
