Jurys Inn has just completed a EUR9million transformation of its five Irish hotels located in Dublin (Custom House, Christchurch and Parnell Street), Cork and Galway.  The five hotels, with a total of 937 bedrooms between them, have been revamped with new wall coverings, furnishings, flat screen televisions and spacious bathrooms. Each hotel now has a redesigned and contemporary lobby, restaurant and bar.

Jurys Inn has introduced free wi-fi for all guests and improved the meeting room facilities in its Custom House and Cork hotels.

Judge’s Lodging, the Grade I-listed Georgian townhouse hotel in the centre of York reopened on 1st July 2014 following completion of its £2.2 million refurbishment.

The Judge’s Lodging has undergone a major transformation both inside and out. The development has created five additional guest rooms in the courtyard to the rear of the hotel in addition to the 16 individually styled bedrooms within the main building. Al-fresco terraces have been created including a new cask ale bar which opens on to a roof terrace.

Judge’s Lodgings is now a  ‘Thwaites Inns of Character’ a grouping of six individual inns, all offering accommodation and located in the Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire and the Lake District.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster is undergoing a major refurbishment over the summer period – a continuation of the upgrading programme which started last year.  This second phase will provide aesthetic and visual improvements as well as enhancing the facilities.
The conference chairs and conference tables are being replaced throughout. The Sanctuary Foyer is being revamped with a new ceiling, lighting, floor surface and furniture. An executive lounge and café is been added. Internet connectivity is also being enhanced throughout. The work is expected to be complete by early September 2014. A modern, stylish new-look Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre is the aim.

A major refurbishment of the King's Head Inn in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park is now complete. Four new bedrooms have been added bringing the total number of rooms at this country pub to twelve - along with a three star AA rating. The Kings Head Inn is located at the foot of Roseberry Topping, a Tees Valley landmark, in the village of Newton-Under-Roseberry in the county of Cleveland.

The Kings Head Inn is one of four properties comprising the Inn Collection. The other three are further north in Northumberland. They are the Hogs Head Inn with 54 bedrooms, the Bamburgh Castle Inn with 30 bedrooms and the Lindisfarne Inn with 21 bedrooms.

Thistle Hotel Middlesbrough is planning another refurbishment of its facilities, months after renovating 38 of its 132-bedrooms. So far a total of 80 bedrooms have been upgraded since 2013. Thistle Hotel Middlesbrough will start renovating its ninth floor meeting rooms in the next refurbishment phase.
