Work is to start on phase two of the redevelopment of the Grade II-listed Corn Exchange building in the centre of Manchester with the creation of a new hotel.

Phase two will see the creation of the new 114 bedroom Roomzzz Manchester Corn Exchange aparthotel - the group’s second hotel in central Manchester.

The period features and bare brick walls of the original Corn Exchange will be retained.

Entrance to Roomzzz Manchester Corn Exchange will be via the original grand main entrance fronting Hanging Ditch/Exchange Square or from old trading floor.

Bedrooms will occupy the second, third, fourth and fifth floors and the hotel will have an atrium presence into Corn Exchange. Apartments will range from the ‘super sleek’ to palatial penthouses.

Phase one of the redevelopment was launched last summer and saw the main trading floor reinvented as a dining destination with seventeen restaurants.
