Oddfellows On The Park opens in Cheadle, Greater Manchester on 1st December 2016. It will be the sister hotel of Oddfellows Chester sharing the same style and design.

Oddfellows On The Park will also be a member of Design Hotels – its only UK member outside London.

Oddfellows On The Park is a converted Victorian mansion with 22 luxury bedrooms. It will feature ‘The Galloping Major’ restaurant and cocktail bar located in what was once the original owner’s ballroom. It will also feature a ‘salon de beaute’ named The Pigsty.

Oddfellows On The Park will include a range of flexible space accommodating from two – 120 delegates, fully equipped with the latest presentation and AV facilities.

Oddfellows On The Park is located in 100 acres of Bruntwood Park, yet it is only ten miles from the centre of Manchester and four miles from Manchester airport. Motorway exits from the M6, M56, M60 are all within two miles of Oddfellows on The Park.

W Hotels is coming to Scotland.

Nicknamed the ‘ribbon hotel’ in view of its unusual design featuring free-flowing spiral ribbons, the W Edinburgh is scheduled to open in 2021  on the redeveloped Edinburgh St. James scheme in the centre of the city.

The 12-storey W Edinburgh will have 214 bedrooms including 20 suites and one ‘Extreme Wow’ Suite - W brand’s take on the presidential suite.

The rooftop will feature a destination bar and outdoor terrace. W Edinburgh will also feature a W Lounge and a signature restaurant. Leisure facilities will include ‘FIT’ – a workout gym plus an ‘AWAY’ Spa, W Hotels brand’s signature health and lifestyle offering.

W Edinburgh will have 2,450 square feet of meeting and events space.

W Edinburgh joins  W London - Leicester Square, which is the only other ‘W’ hotel in the UK. It opened in 2011.

W Edinburgh will be located just off Princes Street a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley station.
 


Work on Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium is now underway. Part of the club’s White Hart Lane ground in North London has been demolished to make way for their new home.

Tottenham Hotspur’s new 61,000-seater is located on the same road as their current ground, sections of which are having to be demolished to make way for the new stadium.

The development, officially known as the ‘Northumberland Park Development Project’, will including a hotel, health centre, homes and a club museum, along with a retractable pitch allowing the club to host NFL games.

Completion is expected in time for the start of the 2018/2019 football season.

Up to twelve international hotel groups have reportedly expressed an interest in operating Admiralty Arch in London which is being converted into a 100-bedroom luxury hotel with a private member’s club.

Admiralty Arch is a Grade 1-listed building located on The Mall in St James’s and is known as the gateway to Buckingham Palace. It was built in 1910 and was the residence of the first sea lord. It was then occupied by the Cabinet Office before being sold in 2012.

Restoration of Admiralty Arch is currently underway. The selected hotel operator is expected to be announced in 2017.
 


Plans by the University of Birmingham to build a 172-bedroom hotel and conference facility at its Edgbaston campus are set to gain planning approval.

The new hotel, which will be known as Hornton Grange Hotel and Conference Centre, is part of a £300million investment at the University of Birmingham campus.

Hornton Grange Hotel and Conference Centre will include 172 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar plus a main conference suite to accommodate up to 200 delegates. 

The new conference facilities will enable University of Birmingham to compete for major academic conferences which up until now have gone outside the region.

Subject to final approval Hornton Grange Hotel and Conference Centre will open summer 2018.

Hornton Grange Hotel and Conference Centre will be located in Edgbaston Park Road a five minute drive from the centre of Birmingham.
