Yotel, the budget hotel chain, has unveiled plans for its first Scottish hotel. It will be located within Erskine House in Queen Street, central Edinburgh. 

Yotel Edinburgh will include 280 cabin-style rooms as well as a two-storey screening room, a destination bar and a gym. 

The hotel will also feature Yotel’s Club Lounge concept, which combines flexible meeting and co-working space with relaxation and socialising space.

Yotel, chiefly known for pioneering the capsule room concept at airports, has developed a portfolio of airport hotels including both Gatwick and Heathrow in the UK as well as Paris CDG and Amsterdam Schiphol.

More recently the group has expanded its base from airport sites into the city centre - in London’s Clerkenwell as well as major European and USA cities.

Yotel Edinburgh will be located in Edinburgh New Town, a five-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station.

The Science Museum in South Kensington, London is planning to launch a new multi-functional events space in January 2019. 

The space, as yet unnamed, will be situated on levels four and five of the Science Museum. It will be available for both daytime and evening hire for capacities of up to 400 delegates for conferences or 450 for receptions.

The room will feature a panoramic window on level five ensuring plenty of natural daylight for conferences as well as impressive views across London.

The new venue will be a dedicated events space capable of hosting all manner of events, from daytime conferences, product launches and lunches to evening drinks, receptions and dinners.

The new space can be used in conjunction with the museum’s existing range of galleries and event options.

The Seven Hotel is a new boutique hotel which is opening in mid-December on the seafront in Southend, Essex.  

The building, a former nursing home, has been converted into a 37-bedroom hotel.

The four-storey Seven Hotel will feature a steak and seafood brasserie restaurant and a "gin-centric" bar.

Around half the bedrooms will have sea views and there will be five suites on the top floor. All bedrooms will be furnished with a flat screen television and a coffee maker along with a hair dryer, bathrobe and slippers plus free wi-fi.

Seven Hotel is located in Clifton Terrace, close to The Royals Shopping Centre and around a five-minute walk from Southend Pier.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa is planning to open its new range of treehouses in summer 2018.  

This follows anticipated official approval for the scheme when planning officers at Durham County Council meet shortly. 

Six treehouses are planned at Ramside Hall Hotel. It will be a mix of one- and two-bedroom luxury treehouses set in the woodland adjacent to the 18th fairway of The Prince Bishops Course overlooking the hotel and golf course.

The treehouses will sleep up to four adults in king-bedded rooms with a shower and a free standing copper bath.

Each treehouse will include a flat screen LCD TV with Sky Sports Channels, tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board.

Guests will have access to all the dining and leisure facilities at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa has 127 bedrooms and suites, a luxury spa boasting one of the UK’s largest hydrotherapy pools plus a gym.

The hotel has five main meeting and private dining areas plus five smaller boardrooms. The largest room, The Bishops Suite, will seat up to 500 delegates for a theatre style meeting.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa is set in 350 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Durham City.

The five-star ME London hotel on the Strand has just unveiled its exclusive private dining ‘cable cars’ on the rooftop of the hotel. 

The cable cars at ME London’s Radio Rooftop Bar will seat up to ten guests and are available for private hire. Together with panoramic views of London landmarks including The Shard, Big Ben and Somerset House, guests will also enjoy specially designed menu to complement the theming.

ME London has 157 modern, contemporary-styled bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.

ME London has two restaurants as well as Radio Rooftop Bar.

There are seven meeting rooms in total with a capacity for up to 300 people with a separate reception area. ME London also features a modern, fully equipped gym open 24 hours a day.
