The Pilgrm hotel has opened in London with 73 bedrooms.
The Victorian building which formerly housed the Royal Norfolk Hotel has been stripped back to reveal its full glory with the original mahogany staircase dominating the downstairs.
Interior features have been either recreated or sourced locally. Hence the hallway lights have come from a local hospital and the parquet floors have been rescued from a former army gym.
There is no reception desk at The Pilgrm. Guests check in and out online and pay before arrival so all they need to do is collect a key from a 24-hour station in the downstairs café.
There are three bedroom types in The Pilgrm: Small, Medium and Large. Each is meticulously furnished featuring bespoke beds, white-tiled bathrooms and Victorian–style lavatories but with modern-day plumbing. Each floor has its own 24-hour pantry with snacks and drinks.
The first floor lounge at The Pilgrm also captures the Victorian-era style of the building. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an all-day menu.
The Pilgrm is situated next to Norfolk Square, very close to Paddington Station. Marylebone, Hyde Park, Notting Hill and Bayswater are all within easy walking distance.
