Last week we reported on a possible new hotel and motorway services at junction 1 of the M6 motorway.

It is a project which is still at the planning stage. If the operators are looking for inspiration they could do worse than look at the other end of the M6 – at Tebay Services in Cumbria, located between junctions 38 and 39 of the wonderful M6.

Tebay Services Hotel is next to Tebay Services Farmshop and Kitchen,on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales and surrounded by the Cumbrian Mountains.

Tebay Services Hotel has 50 ‘Classic’ and ‘Crafted’ bedrooms. Both categories are comfortable, well-furnished and equipped.

Tebay Services Hotel has four meeting rooms, all with plenty of natural daylight as well as impressive views. The largest room will seat up to 75 delegates for a theatre style meeting. There is free wi-fi throughout, free parking, a dedicated conference co-coordinator with team-building potential in the grounds.

Tebay Services Hotel is two minutes from the M6 motorway at a midwaypoint between Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle - all of which are 1.5 to 2 hours away.
