Hamilton Park Racecourse, in the town of Hamilton, has applied for planning permission from South Lanarkshire Council to construct a 118-bedroom hotel on the main public car park at the racecourse.

The £10 million project would be operated under Hilton Worldwide’s Hampton by Hilton brand.Hampton by Hilton is an expanding brand in Scotland.

There will soon be six hotels operating in four key locations across Scotland.

Hamilton Racecourse is on the outskirts of the town. It is 12 miles south east of Glasgow, 40 miles from Edinburgh with good access to both the M8 and M74 motorways.

Extensive renovations are currently underway to convert The Fleece Hotel in Richmond, North Yorkshire into a ten-bedroom boutique hotel complete with a forty cover restaurant plus a café and lounge bar.

The Fleece Hotel is a Grade II-listed building dating from 1897.

It was built as a 22-bedroom hotel but more recently the hotel had been converted into a nightclub before finally falling into dereliction.

The newly renovated Fleece Hotel will share its site with six new apartments all overlooking Friary Gardens and with views towards Richmond Castle.

The new Fleece Hotel in Richmond is expected to open in April 2018.

The Langley is a new 41-bedroom hotel opening summer 2018 on the Duke of Marlborough’s former estate in Iver in Buckinghamshire.

The Langley will be joining Marriott’s Luxury Collection grouping.

The Langley will be located in two buildings on the estate: the former Hunting Lodge and the estate’s Stables – both are Grade II-listed buildings.

The Langley will feature a signature restaurant and bar, a 25,000 sq-ft luxury spa and fitness area plus meeting and events space.

The Langley will be set in 500 acres of parkland including a lake and an arboretum. Despite its rural location it will be just a short distance from Pinewood Film Studios and the Slough Trading Estate.

Crossrail, due to arrive in 2019, will take passengers from Langley to Bond Street in central London in 29 minutes.

Restaurant group, D&D London, is planning to open a new rooftop restaurant and garden terrace in the centre of Manchester in early 2018.

The new restaurant will be located at No1 Spinningfields, the largest commercial building under construction in Manchester and the tallest to be built in the city in the last 50 years.

No1 Spinningfields restaurant and bar will span 9,500 sq-ft of space and will feature a substantial outdoor garden terrace area with panoramic views across central Manchester.

The restaurant will accommodate up to 440 guests in total. It will include a private dining room, private booths, two restaurants and a rooftop terrace.

It will be available for private or semi-private dinners, drinks and canapé receptions.

The rooftop restaurant and bar at No 1 Spinningfields is scheduled to launch on 15thFebruary 2018.

A dramatic, new 'New York-style loft' rooftop extension is planned at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Birmingham Hippodrome has been home to Birmingham Royal Ballet since 1990 and the rooftop extension will be known as the Dance Hub.

The Dance Hub will create 7,265 sq-ft of new space for professional and community dancers including a large dance rehearsal studio, ancillary facilities and office space.

If approval is granted by Birmingham City Council construction of the Dance Hub will begin in Spring 2019.

Birmingham Hippodrome already boasts extensive meeting and events facilities. The theatre has six spaces including the main auditorium. It can accommodate from 10 to 210 delegates in total.

Birmingham Hippodrome is located in the centre of Birmingham, a shortwalk from both Birmingham New Street and Moor Street stations.
