Fulham Football Club has unveiled plans to create a new “leisure destination for use on match and non-match days” at the club's Craven Cottage stadium overlooking the River Thames in London.

The plan would see the creation of riverside pubs and restaurants, events facilities, green spaces and public access to a river walk along the Thames.

In addition, the Riverside Stand itself would also be rebuilt to increase seating capacity to 30,000.

Fulham FC secured planning permission to expand the Riverside Stand in 2013. The club is currently in discussions with the council and the public about its latest plans.

The owner of a League Two football club Mansfield Town FC in Nottinghamshire is considering the possibility of building a new hotel at their stadium.

John Radford, who owns Mansfield Town FC, is looking at developing part of the One Call Stadium on land which is currently used as a car park.

It follows a decision by the local council to reject his plan for a new hotel on the site of the old bus station in the centre of Mansfield..

It is thought that an "internationally branded hotel" will both benefit the town of Mansfield as well as making Mansfield Town  FC "self-sufficient".

A new hotel alongside the Irish World Heritage Centre in Cheetham Hill, north Manchester has been on the cards since 2013 when plans were first published.

Architects were engaged at the time to design and develop a new hotel to accommodate visitors to the centre.

A planning application was submitted in February of this year and approved in May for a new 135-bedroom hotel.

Construction is now expected to start in the early New Year on the hotel which will also feature business and events space.

The hotel at the Irish World Heritage Centre will be located on Irish Town Way in Manchester and will also include 110 parking spaces.
