Swingers, The City crazy golf club, is opening a second London venue in March 2018 inside the former BHS store on London’s Oxford Street.

The 20,000 sq-ft venue with two nine-hole courses will open on the site of the old BHS café. It will be themed as a reconstructed 1920’s British seaside town.

Guests will be able to access Swingers through a seaside souvenir shop on John Prince’s Street, just off Oxford Street.

Inside, caddies will serve cocktails to guests as they navigate the two nine-hole courses on the site – the Big Wheel course and the Helter Skelter course.

Two seaside-themed bars, the Bandstand Bar and Grand Hotel bar, will also serve cocktails. A ‘promenade’ lined with lampposts and beach huts will house street food stalls between the two courses.

Exclusive hire of Swingers is possible for 600 guests. The venue will have three private dining rooms, a bookable space behind the Bandstand Bar and two pergola structures for smaller celebrations. A pre-set food, golf and drink packages for groups that don’t need a totally private area will also be on offer.

Swingers’ started as a pop-up in London’s Shoreditch and opened its first permanent venue underneath the Gherkin in the City of London last year.

A new boutique hotel is on the cards for Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

A derelict factory building in Frederick Street is the site for the planned new hotel.

The building is a Grade II-listed former goldsmith’s factory dating back to the 1860’s.

The building is currently vacant and in a poor state of repair.

The planned new hotel would have fifteen bedrooms.

Mosaic Pub and Dining are behind the plans. They also own the Button Factory alongside which is a restaurant and bar housed in another restored and converted factory in the Jewellery Quarter.

Plans have just been submitted for approval.
