Saco Property Group has acquired a site in London and has published plans to develop another Locke aparthotel.

 

The site in Tower Bridge Road is located in Southwark.

 

The new aparthotel will be named: Bermonds Locke, after the original spelling for Bermondsey, meaning “dry ground in a marsh”.

 

Bermonds Locke will have 142 bedrooms, comprising 99 studios and 43 one-bedroom apartments.

It will also have an all-day restaurant with outdoor seating, a coffee shop, cocktail bar, co-working facilities, two meeting rooms and a gym.

 

Bermonds Locke is due to open in Spring 2020.

 

Locke Aparthotels already have a presence in London and Edinburgh - with Whitworth Locke opening in Manchester in November. New sites are due to open elsewhere in London and Cambridge plus major cities in Europe between now and 2021.

A new Yotel is scheduled to open in the centre of Glasgow in November 2019. 

Yotel Glasgow will be located in the Westergate building in Argyle Street, close to Glasgow Central station.

Yotel Glasgow will have 256 bedrooms plus a rooftop bar and a bowling alley.

Yotel Glasgow willbe the chain's second hotel in Scotland and fifth in the UK.

Plans have been published for a major extension at Novotel Wolverhampton. 

A 59-bedroom extension is planned at Novotel Wolverhampton in a new four-storey structure built over a courtyard at the hotel.

The extension would also include an extension of the hotel restaurant.

Novotel Wolverhampton currently has 132 bedrooms.

A final decision is expected from Wolverhampton City Council planning department in the coming months.

Bespoke Hotels group is planning a new 191-bedroom hotel in Manchester.

The group aim to launch ‘Hotel Brooklyn’ in spring 2020 on Portland Street in the centre of Manchester.

As well as offering stylish bedrooms, Hotel Brooklyn will also feature a rooftop bar called Brooklyn Heights, as well as Runyon’s restaurant, inspired by the short stories and plays of New York based writer Damon Runyon.

Hotel Brooklyn will join Hotel Gotham located nearby in King Street in central Manchester – its sister hotel in the Bespoke Hotels portfolio.

Hotel Brooklyn will be adjacent to the Townhouse Hotel in Portland Street and will be a ten-minute walk from both Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road stations.

Caer Rhun Hall is a new hotel which has just opened following a two-year development.

Caer Rhun Hall is set in private parkland and gardensin the heart of the Conwy Valley bordering Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

Caer Rhun Hall is a three-storey Victorian Grade-II listed hotel, currently with 32 bedrooms. There are two meeting rooms accommodating up to 36 and 26 delegates boardroom style respectively - plus a marquee on the lawns for up to 400 guests.

Future development plans for Caer Rhun Hall will see an increase in the number of bedrooms to 80 as well as the addition of a new spa.

Caer Rhun Hall is a part of Northern Powerhouse Developments' ‘Manor Collection’ of hotels.
