The Beaumont Hotel opens in the heart of Mayfair autumn 2014. Described as ‘grand in style yet intimate in feel’, it will be the first hotel by restaurateurs Jeremy King and Chris Corbin better known as operators of the  Wolseley, the Delaunay and a number of other leading restaurants in London.

The Beaumont Hotel will have 73 bedrooms and suites including eight signature one-bedroom suites and ROOM. ROOM is a one bedroom 69 sq-mt suite designed and created by Turner Prize-winning British sculptor, Antony Gormley.  ROOM is a modular piece made of stainless steel and fumed oak and has been commissioned as a piece of public art for the hotel.
All rooms and suites have complimentary soft drinks and a Nespresso coffee machine, dual-line telephones, voice messaging, personally controlled air-conditioning, complimentary wi-fi, interactive film and music on demand and a personal laptop safe. Room rates start from £395 including VAT and service.

The Cub Room is the resident's bar and lounge and will be purely for the use of the hotel's guests - and open from early until late. The American Bar will be open to both hotel residents and the general public every day from 11.00am until late.
The Colony Grill Room will be serving classical dishes from both sides of the Atlantic and will be open seven days a week from 7.00am until late.
The Lotos Room is the Beaumont’s boardroom and private dining room on the lower ground floor seating up to 16 delegates for a board meeting or up to 48 guests for a private breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The spa at the Beaumont will include a hamman with dry heat, steam and therapy rooms as well as beauty and grooming services. The gymnasium will be open 24 hours a day and will be complimentary for hotel residents only.

The Beaumont will offer a variety of services from chauffeur-driven courtesy cars; a valet; laundry, pressing and dry-cleaning services; 24 hour in-room dining and a full concierge service.

The Beaumont is located at 8 Balderton Street in the former Avis building, a 1920's Art Deco structure originally used as a garage. The hotel will be instantly recognised by Anthony Gormley sculpture of a crouching man in front of the hotel.

Drygate is a new brewery, bar and restaurant which opened in May 2014 in a converted warehouse off  Glasgow’s Duke Street. The project is a collaboration between Williams Bros brewers and the C&C Group who brew Tennent’s.
Drygate is being billed as ‘Glasgow’s first urban craft brewery’. It features a 24 tap beer hall, an elevated beer garden, a multifunctional venue/gallery space, a bottle shop and a restaurant with views through to the brewery.

The brewing side of the business will be producing one million litres of craft beer each year but there will also be the chance for amateur brewers to try their hand – or an opportunity for a  team building exercise with a difference. The Drygate studio kit can be hired out by budding brewers who want to create their own beers.

The 120-seat Bar & Kitchen serves a brasserie-style menu. A private dining area will seat up to 25 guests. As an event venue Drygate will accommodate up to 300 guests. The operators see it as an ideal venue for a wide variety of one-off and regular events, including collaborations with innovators in music, fashion, comedy, beer and food.

The Drygate warehouse was built in the 1960s and has enjoyed a promiscuous past having previously been used as a box factory, print works, bottling plant, and as office and storage space. It is located in Drygate Street with good access to the M8 motorway. It is a five minute walk from High Street station with direct trains to Glasgow Queens Street as well as to Edinburgh.

Zip World Titan is the largest zip zone in the world with eight kilometres of zip lines. It has just opened at Llechwedd Slate Caverns near the slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales. Zip World Titan dwarfs the original Zip World Velocity which opened in 2013 in Bethesda. Both sites are situated forty minutes from each other and claim to offer riders “the nearest thing to flying”.
However, the development which has received the most coverage is Bounce Below, also located at the Zip World Titan site. The first facility of its kind, Bounce Below is a set of three enormous trampolines within the Llechwedd cavern. This is an old mining cavern that is twice the size of St. Paul’s Cathedral. The activity is designed to last about an hour.

Bounce Below is set to open on 4th July 2014. All three venues accept group bookings.
