The National Theatre’s Temporary Theatre in London will be available for a limited five month period as ‘pop- up’ event space. Corporate event bookings are being taken at the venue for events between 15 September 2014 and 28 February 2015.
The Temporary Theatre located on London’s South Bank features a striking rough red painted timber cladding. Stripped back internally to steel and plywood, the theatre offers a quirky venue in which to host a product launch, a conference, a drinks receptions or a seated dinner. The theatre will accommodate up to 70 guests for a dinner, up to 185 delegates for a conference and a maximum of 200 for standing reception.
The Temporary Theatre opened in April 2013 to provide a third home for the National Theatre during the Cottesloe Theatre’s closure for redevelopment and its reopening as the Dorfman Theatre. It is scheduled for a re-launch in spring 2015 for its extended life until March 2017.

The Northern Counties building in Derry / Londonderry is going to be converted into a boutique hotel and restaurant thanks to a grant from the Inner City Building Preservation Trust (ICBT). The Northern Counties building in Bishop Street and currently vacant, is Grade B1 listed and was built in 1899. It is a well-known landmark in the city centre. For many years it was a private members’ club, and a base for the city’s business and civic leaders.
The Northern Counties building is the first project in the UK to secure a confirmed grant from the new Heritage Lottery Fund programme which has been designed to stimulate local economic growth by unlocking the commercial potential of unused historic buildings and sites.
