New Hotel opens in Glasgow

Dorsett City Hotel is a new-build 13-storey hotel located in the heart of the City of London’s financial district. It opens in April 2017.

Dorsett City Hotel will have 267 bedrooms including 12 suites featuring modern architecture and design. It will also have two restaurants, a 24 hour gym, events space and a destination rooftop terrace bar with a 360 degree panoramic view of the London skyline.

Dorsett City Hotel is adjacent to Aldgate Station – and a short walk from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

Dorsett City Hotel will be the group’s second hotel in London following the opening of Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel in 2014.

A third is planned at Canary Wharf where building work has just started

This will be 20-storey hotel in the Alpha Square development with 231 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant at ground floor levels with conference and meeting room facilities on the mezzanine levels. The 20th floor will feature a sky garden, a lounge bar and a 12metre pool. No opening dates have been published.

New owners of Jamaica Inn hotel, Cornwall's most famous smugglers inn, are planning further extensions.

An additional 16 bedrooms are being created currently. These will come on stream in June this year and will take the total number of bedrooms at Jamaica Inn to 36.

A new large events space for up to 250 guests is also planned. This will be one of the largest events spaces in Cornwall.

Coming shortly, Jamaica Inn is planning to launch its own-label lager and cider in addition to its existing Jamaica Inn real ale. This will be followed by the introduction of their own 'smugglers rum'.

Jamaica Inn is located at Bolventor beside the A30 on Bodmin Moor, midway between Launceston and Bodmin and close to the Cornwall/Devon border.

Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport is now open with 155 bedrooms on the doorstep of Aberdeen International Airport and 20 minutes from the centre of Aberdeen.

Both the Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Aiport and at the Hampton by Hilton which has recently opened alongside Bristol Airport have been constructed using modular technology.

The hotels were built in segments in a factory in China and assembled onsite in the UK.

Bedrooms are modern, stylish and well equipped and include an oversized work desk. Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport features a breakfast area offering a complimentary breakfast.

There is a 24-hour fitness centre.

Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport offers complimentary wi-fi access throughout plus free on-site parking.

There are no meeting rooms but Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport does have a business hub area in the lobby.

Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport is located on D2 Business Park and is around 1km from the main airport terminal.

Malmaison Brighton has just opened in the town’s marina district following a multi-million renovation.

Malmaison Brighton has 71 stylish bedrooms featuring modern artworks, luxury beds, work space and some rooms with outdoor terraces looking out over the waterfront.

Malmaison Brighton features the Malmaison brand’s ‘Chez Mal’ bar and brasserie as well as its ‘Work+Play’ high-tech business and events facilities.

Five flexible meeting rooms in total will accommodate from eight up to 140 delegates.

Malmaison Brighton offers free parking. It is a 20 minute walk from the beach and two miles from Brighton city centre

The Stoller Hall is a new conference and events venue opening in the centre of Manchester on 21st April 2017.

The Stoller Hall is part of Chetham’s School of Music’s new building programme.

The Stoller Hall is a fully accessible contemporary building designed primarily for live music and performance.

It boasts an £8.7million visual and acoustic design and on-site catering.

The Stoller Hall is a flexible space to suit formal conferences, dining, music courses and exams or concerts.

Events space is separate and distinct from the main Chetham’s School buildings and visitors will have a separate entrance close to major transport links.

The Stoller Hall is available to book from May 2017. Spaces already available include the 100-seater Carole Nash Hall, a space designed for recitals, presentations and competitions; and the Oglesby Atrium, flooded with natural light, which forms the central space. Oglesby Atrium will accommodate up to 400 guests for a reception.

The Stoller Hall is located in the heart of Manchester and is ‘ringed’ by Manchester Victoria Station, Manchester Arena, The National Football Museum and Manchester Cathedral.
