Hastings Hotels has just opened the new Grand Central Hotel in central Belfast’s Linen Quarter.

Plans have been submitted to convert three buildings in London’s Soho into a new lifestyle hotel.

The properties are Film House, Mentorn House and 20 St Anne’s Court - all located in Wardour Street, Soho. They currently serve as offices.

The new six-storey hotel would have 176 bedrooms and would feature two ground floor restaurants plus a 224-cover rooftop restaurant and bar as well as a gym. Conference and events facilities would be located in the basement.

The external masonry and art deco features of the existing buildings would be retained with new extensions built at the rear.

The owner/developer of the property is the Sir Richard Sutton Settled Estate. They also own the freehold of the Athenaeum and Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotels.

The project is still at the planning stages.
