Hotel Indigo York is a new hotel which has just opened with 101 bedrooms in Walmgate in the historic centre of York.
Every Hotel Indigo property takes its influences from the surrounding neighbourhood. In the case of York it is chocolate. The city is the home to both Rowntree’s and Terry’s of York. The designs within the bedrooms and throughout the hotel all reflect York’s rich chocolate heritage combined with that of the city’s stonework.
The bedrooms in Hotel Indigo York are modern and stylish. Each room is air-conditioned and features a 32" HD LCD television, a work desk with complimentary wi-fi, a mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks, fresh milk and snacks, an iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities.
Hotel Indigo York has partnered with the Yorkshire Meatball Com so the restaurant serves meat, fish, vegetarian and sweet balls all hand-rolled in-house.
The on-site fitness centre includes cardiovascular and free weight equipment.
Hotel Indigo York has limited off-site parking which is a two minute walk from the hotel. It is around 1.5 miles from York Station – approximately £5.00 in a taxi.

Stockport Council has granted permission to convert Bruntwood Hall, in Cheadle, Cheshire into a 22-bedroom boutique hotel on behalf of Oddfellows Hotels.
Bruntwood Hall lies in the centre of Bruntwood Park with over 100 acres of parkland including ponds, waterways and mature woodland.
The £3million plan involves restoring and converting the 19th century Bruntwood Hall manor house to create Oddfellows on the Park hotel – with 22 hotel bedrooms, a restaurant, cocktail bar and private dining rooms. There are also plans to incorporate a spa facility.
Bruntwood Hall has previously been a town hall for Cheadle and Gatley council, a racehorse stud farm and most recently the headquarters of a film company. Bruntwood Hall is located just off the A34 south of Manchester, five minutes from the M60 at junction 2 and with good access to Manchester Airport.
Oddfellows on the Park will join its sister hotel Oddfellows Chester, an 18 bedroom boutique hotel behind a 17th century façade in the centre of Chester.

If plans are approved construction of the new hotel is expected to start summer 2017 with an opening scheduled for 2021.
